I am absolutely obsessed with the Tropical Oasis suite, in particular the gorgeous images in the Memories & More card pack. While watching a few episodes of Vikings on Netflix, I fussy cut a whole heap of images and played around with ideas's for shaker cards.

Fancy Friday, Jaxx Crafty Creations, Tropical Oasis

All three creations feature different pieces of the Memories & More cards. The first has a basic oval shaped die cut from the card front, which was lined with gold polka dot vellum before adding sequins. The vellum along with the foliage are from the Sale-A-Bration kit called Kerchief. The fussy cut flamingo and hibiscus flowers have been adhered with mini dimensionals along with the medium sized Punched Daisy.

The next card was super easy to construct. I have simply fussy cut the floral frame from one of the large Memories & More cards, adhered Acetate with Multi Purpose Glue and then bent Foam Strips around the edge. I like to place the shaker elements in the centre of the card front and then adhere the shaker front over the top. If I don't do it this way, I end up with the insides shaker bits stuck to the foam strips and it all ends in disaster and eventually the rubbish bin!

The final card again uses one of the fussy cut Tropical Oasis Memories & More cards to create the frame for my shaker element. The foam strips for this one did require cutting down a little to fit the thin sized frame. Before adhering to the card front, which has been splattered with Flirty Flamingo ink, I added a circle of twine. The fussy cut "woody" car and a few stickers from the Card Pack were also added. To finish the card and somewhat balance the busy card front, I added a strip of bright colour by chopping up yet another M & M card and adding it to the left hand side of the card base.

That is all from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to continue hopping for more Shaker inspired projects from the Fancy Friday Design Team.  Up next in this astonishing line up of former and continuing Artisans is Jennifer Smith Sootkoos with her beautiful creation. Enjoy xx

Until next time, stay awesome and stay crafty
