ESAD Farewell Annual Catalogue

 Hello Crafty Friends

Welcome to the ESAD Farewell Annual Catalogue Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Western Australia.  If you have been following the hop you will have arrived here having just visited the very talented Cheryl Algie and seen some pretty impressive creations using ESAD's favourite RETIRING products.

I always have mixed emotions with the arrival of a new Annual Catalogue as you just know some of your most precious crafty item are about to hit the retirement shelf.  Saying goodbye to these beloved products as they leave the Annual is soon replaced with excitement for the arrival of delicious new goodies and in colours and embellishments and ohhhh all the pretty new stuff.

Being a big embossing folder user I am most saddened to see some of my staple folders not make it into the new catalogue, especially the Pinewood Planks folder. One stamp set I am truly going to miss is BLOOM & GROW. So for todays creations (which I whipped up at lunchtime today after receiving a reminder that I had a blog hop today!!!) I am using my all time favie EF teamed with a couple of the images from the BLOOM & GROW stamp set.

I must be clear the black n white DSP is from the Mini Catalogue as I do not have any from Annual due my year sabbatical lol.

For both cards I  have simply stamped the images, coloured with Stampin' Blends and then fussy cut - there are matching dies to complete this bundle but I prefer to fussy cut with scissors.

To finish off the cards I added a white heat embossed sentiment along with a few pearl embellishments.

Due to time constraints I will have to love you and leave you with little details other than what I have already provided as this post is due to go live in about 15 minutes!!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to keep on hopping with the ESAD crew for loads more inspirational and creative projects using products we all love that are retiring with the outgoing catalogue.

Up next in the ESAD Blog Hop is Tracy Held with her amazing creations. A full Blog Hop participant list has been provided below.

Creating Kindness Blog Hop - Spring Fling

Good Day Crafty Friends,

I am super excited to be participating in my very first blog hop in over a year! When Jay asked if I would like be guest designer for this months CREATING KINDNESS BLOG HOP I jumped at the opportunity.

I also got to chose this month SPRING FLING theme for the Design Team to create along to. It’s going into Autumn here in Australia but I know on the other side of the world they are about enjoy all the wonders of spring.

Nothing says spring to me more than new bulbs shooting everywhere. Western Australia has a phenomenal wild flower season during our spring so I was inspired by the little wild daisies that are dotted everywhere during this short lived event.

For today's creations I’ve used my all time favourite punch to create my daisies combined with the True Love Designer Series Paper.

Slimline cards are all the rage at the moment. The only issue can be finding the right sized envelope. A quick and simple solution is to wrap the card in vellum and secure close with a decorated vellum band.

Here is a close up of the embellished belly band. DSP has been cut to the exact width of the vellum band and decorated using the Detailed Bands Die, Ribbon, Stitched Shapes & Pierced Blooms Dies.

While I had everything out on my workspace I decided to create a couple of standard sized cards as well. Using embossing folders for the card bases, DSP, punched daisies and heat embossed sentiments were added along with die cut elements created using the Pierced Blooms Dies.

That is all from me today, friends. Thanks so much for stopping. It was such a pleasure to be part of the creative blog hopping community again!

Be sure to follow the rest of the blog hop for more SPRING FLING inspiration shared by the talented CREATING KINDNESS Design Team by clicking on the next button or using the links list posted below. - Enjoy.

Until next time, stay crafty and stay awesome!!
