Pretty Peacock In Colour

Hello Crafty Friends,

Just a quick post today to share a couple of cards made with one of my favourite 2019-2021 In Colour  - Pretty Peacock. I seriously am a huge Pink gal and you would think my new colour crush from this colour family would be the Rococo Rose. Don't get me wrong, I do adore Rococo Rose, even I am blown away at how much I am enjoying Pretty Peacock.

Both cards in today's collection use the colour quite heavily. For the first creation, I have taken a piece of Pretty Peacock card stock and embossed it using the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. The detailed cut frame is from the Come Sail Away Memories & More card pack. The stamped images from Beautiful Friendship have been fussy cut and adhered to the card front using a mixture of Multipurpose Glue, Dimensionals and Foam Strips.

The background for the second card has been created using the Rectangle Stitched Dies with Pretty Peacock In Colour DSP Pack. The floral images from Inspiring Iris have been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Ink and coloured using Stampin' Blends. They were then fussy cut and added to the die cut circle with mini dimensionals.

Both cards have white heat embossed sentiments on black card stock and Noble Peacock Rhinestones in Pretty Peacock.

Colour INKspiration #62

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome to Colour INKspiration Challenge #62. The talented Design Team have the most delightful Inspiration Picture and Colour Combination for you to play along with this fortnight. Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry and Call Me Clover.

Image may contain: plant and flower

I recently discovered a few packs of Shimmery White Card Stock in a spot I used to keep all my Card Stock and DSP together, so I have been on a water colouring frenzy of late, creating loads of backgrounds in all sorts of different colours. I cut half a pack into card fronts and managed to splash ink on all of them. I am generally a lazy stamper so for me to have a stash of water coloured card fronts will make life easier going forward.

For today's creation, I applied Crushed Curry ink to slightly wet Shimmery White card stock using an Aqua Painter. I am impatient and used the heat tool to dry it so I could add some splatters while I had the Crushed Curry Ink out on my crafting space.

The images have been stamped with Black Archival Ink and once dry, Crushed Curry and Call Me Clover inks were used to colour them. These were then fussy cut and added to the Crumb Cake die cut heart with dimensionals.  The die cut heart has been sponged with White Kraft ink for a softer look. Also added and possibly not visible, is a die cut piece of vellum which sits under the bottom floral cluster and sentiment.

A Linen Thread bow and Mini Library Clip were added to the left top corner and to finish the card a few Artisan Pearl Embellishments.

Be Inspired August Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Friends

Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop for August.  You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Western Australia. If you are following the hop, you may have arrived here having just visited Monica Gale. If you are just joining us, grab a comfy seat and be sure to hop all the way through for loads of amazing idea's and inspiring projects shared by the Be Inspired Design Team using this month's theme EMBOSSING.

I am a huge fan of embossing folders and adore how you can transform the look of an ordinary piece of card stock into something truly stunning that has texture, simply with one pass through my Big Shot machine. In saying that, I love heat embossing even more! I was hooked the very first time I heat embossed something and it still buzzes me out today.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin Up, Free As A Bird, Water Coloured, Heat Embossing, Scripty Embossing Folder, Floral Card, Be Inspired Blog Hop,

Today's card uses both types of embossing, - dry and heat. Starting with a Thick Whisper White card base, to this another layer of Whisper White which has been embossed using the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. This is such a pretty and versatile Embossing Folder as sometimes I find patterns can be restricting. The cursive font is gorgeous and you can actually read the script!

Layers of Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana card stock have been adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The Shimmery White card front has been die cut using the Rectangle Stitched dies as were the Apple and Cabana layers.

Using the leaf image, I have white heat embossed the Shimmery card stock and then given it a light wash of Coastal Cabana ink using an Aqua Painter. The stamped images have been coloured using Stampin' Blends, fussy cut and then adhered around the die cut sentiment with mini dimensionals. A couple of Artisan Pearl Embellishments were adhered to the centre of the flowers to finish the card.

That's it from me, crafty friends. Thanks so much for stopping by today. The Be Inspired Design Team appreciate the time you have invested to visit our blogs today, Thank You. Up next in this months Be Inspired Blog Hop is super talented Cathy Caines.

Iris’s & Gingham

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are having a great day. While I am away for work I thought it was the perfect time to share creations made over previous months that I haven't had the opportunity to blog. Today's collection of projects use the floral images from the Inspiring Iris stamp set which you can find on Page 111 of the 2019 Annual Catalogue.

I absolutely adore all the Gingham DSP that Stampin' Up have released. These  6" x 6" DSP Packs are available in Colour Families eg Subtles, Brights, Neutrals, Regals and In Colours. With 40 sheets in a Pack, it is a cost effective way to create loads of quick and easy CAS cards.

For the first card I have used Gingham DSP from the Subtle Collection teamed with some Carnations that have been stamped, coloured with Stampin' Blends and then fussy cut before mounting to the card front with mini dimensionals.

I fibbed!! The second card has no Gingham DSP at all!! It does however have one of the floral stamps from the Inspiring Iris stamp set - again coloured with Stampin' Blends and fussy cut. The floral cluster has been mounted over a die cut opening which reveals a whisper white card base, embossed with the Pine Planks embossing folder.

The final card is a variation on the first. Instead of black card stock running along the diagonal edge, I have replaced it with some Scalloped Lace Trim to tie in with the Lace Trim used on the Stitched Label die cut. The Whisper White panel has been embossed using the Lace 3D Embossing Folder.  To finish the card a few Pearl Jewels were added.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Until next time, stay awesome and stay crafty

I have two Christmas cards to share with you today, both with similar elements and colour schemes. I am not a huge fan of traditional Christmas Colours so opted to go with neutrals with a bit of bling. For today's project I have used the Tidings All Stamp Set (#150465) which can be found on Page 9 in the Catalogue.

Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Black and Gold Foil Card stock have been used to create the base, card front and layers for both cards. To create the striped panels, strips of whisper white card has been stamped using the Tiny Keepsake stamp set with StazOn Ink.

This card has a square orientation, measuring 5.5" x 5.5". White Craft Ink has been sponged around the edge of the card front, over the embossed panel and under the wreath.  A few Gold Foil and Vellum die cuts have been tucked under the white heat embossed sentiment. I also used a little bit of Gold Metallic Twine which is retired but its one of my favie products and just couldn't resist adding it to this creation. To finish the card a couple of Snowflake Sequins have been added with Tombow.

The Sahara Sand card front for this card has been white washed using White Craft ink on an Arcylic block which was lightly sprayed with water before "stamping". Once dry, the Wreath image and wintery cottage image from the Still Scenes stamp set (#150503, Page 43) were stamped using StazOn.

Gold Splatters have been added to the card front using an Aqua Painter to flick a mixture of Tombow and Water, then add Gold Embossing Powder and heat.  A little Gold Jingle Bell was added to the top of the card front along with a Linen Thread Bow.

That is all from me today. Be sure to keep hopping for loads more inspiring projects using items from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue. Next up in the ESAD Blog Hop is Lauren Meiklejohn.

Just Add Ink #471 - Inspiration

Hellllooooo Crafty Friends,

Hope you are having a great day. I am happy to be back in the craft room after taking a break from all things crafty and blogging this month. And just in time too, with a new Holiday Catalogue packed full of delightfulness and boxes of goodies being delivered to my door, I was super excited to get in and get crafting.

This weeks Just Add Ink Inspiration Challenge has the most gorgeous colour palette which I found to be the perfect starting point after my little hiatus. I love the ombre colours and decided to use these for this week's creation.

No photo description available.

Using an Aqua Painter, I applied Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, Purple Posy, Gorgeous Grape and Rich Razzleberry inks to Shimmery White card stock. Once dry this was die cut using a Stitched Rectangle die as was the Black and White striped DSP that has been tucked behind.

Silver Glimmer Paper sits behind the Whisper White card front which has been adhered to the card base using dimensionals.

Black die cut trees created with the new Snow Globe Scene Dies and white heat embossed sentiments kept the card front nice and simple. A few coordinating coloured sequins were added to a couple of the water coloured panels, silver metallic thread was tucked behind the die cut trees and viola my creation is done.

That's all for today, crafty friends. Be sure to stop by all the Just Add Ink Design Team members blogs for more inspiration using this weeks Just Add Inspiration Challenge.

We would love for you and your crafty friends to play along, if you have a blog you can add your creation to the Just Add Ink gallery here. Don't have your own blog? No problem! Just send us an email  to  just-add-ink@hotmail.com with a photo attachment. We will upload it to our challenge entry blog for you.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Until next time stay awesome and stay crafty.
