Color INKspiration Challenge #21

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog. You are visiting, Jackie. If you are following the blog hop you may have arrived here from the wonderfully talented Rachel Palmieri. I am so excited to be able to join this fortnights Colour INKspiration blog hop, having missed the last one.

Our stunning colour palette for challenge #21 has been provided by Rose Packer. Joining us on our blog hop is our guest designer, Megan Lenske.

I initially wanted to create a colourful floral bouquet with the challenge colours, but ended up in a totally different direction. My 3D Aquarium card is completely foldable for posting.

I started with a Thick Whisper White card base. I scored an A4 sheet into 4 even panels leaving a tiny edge for a tab. Using the layering square Framelits, I extended the die cut to remove a rectangle on two of the scored panels. A piece of acetate was adhered to the inside of both rectangles with tombow.

The background was sponged with Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz inks and them flicked with water. After this dried I flicked small amounts of Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz. Once dry, I then stamped the seaweed image in Black Archival and applied Pear Pizzazz with an aqua painter.

The sand was created from Sahara Sand card and stamped with crumb cake using the seabed image from Magical Mermaid.  Next the fish were stamped in Archival Black and coloured using an Aqua Painter in all the challenge colours.

A few fish were adhered directly to the background along with the sandy floor. The background was then adhered to the box card base. The floating fish were adhered with acetate to the tabs at the bottom of the base card using tombow. Shells and seaweed die cuts created using a small leaf die from the Eclectic Layers Framelits were littered throughout the sandy sea bed.

The sentiments from Seaside Shore were stamped in Soft Sky and Pear Pizzaz, die cut using the stitched shapes Framelits - extended and shortened. The Ahoy There was fussy cut and adhered using mini dimensionals.
