Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop for June. You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Western Australia. If you are following the hop, you may have arrived here having just visited Janneke de Jong. If you are just joining us, grab a comfy seat and be sure to hop all the way through for amazing idea's and inspiring projects shared by the Be Inspired Design Team using this month's theme HAPPY MAIL
I have a couple of projects to share with you today, a Folder card, Pillow Box and a mini Calendar Easel Card.
All three Happy Mail items have been created using the same products with the Bloom n Grow stamped image being the major focal point. Stampin' Blends were used to colour the images with a few highlights added using a white gel pen.
Sticking to a blue and neutral toned colour combination, I decided to use the Seaside Spray 2019 In Colour DSP, swapping the DSP patterns for each project. Folder Cards are simple to create, eliminate the need for an envelope and is a great way to showcase all the stunning DSP's Stampin' Up! have to offer in this years Annual Catalogue.
The inside of the card contains a stamped and die cut sentiment from the Forever Lovely Stamp set along with the stamped floral cluster image from Bloom n Grow, which has been cut in half and tucked underneath.
When I was deciding what to create for this Hop I took inspiration from an item I was given at Auckland Onstage in April. I received the most amazing swaps at this event, one that really tickled my fancy was an Easel Calendar which I have on my desk. It was made by the super talented Nicola Duffield. You can find the little tear off monthly mini calendars on ebay.
To create the next item, I used one of the Kraft Pillow Boxes as a template. Gently undo a box and trace the box onto any coloured card stock using a pencil, then using snips, cut out the traced shape. Next, place pillow box over card stock and use a scoring tool to trace over the score lines. Fold score lines and glue together. I chose to make this one from Sahara Sand to coordinate with the Calendar and Folder Card.
That's it from me, crafty friends. Thanks so much for stopping by today. The Be Inspired Design Team appreciate the time you have invested to visit our blogs today, Thank You. Up next in this months Be Inspired Blog Hop is my super talented friend and fellow Artisan Design Team member, Manuela Geiswinkler.
