Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - New In Colours

Good Day Crafty Friends

Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop for June. With every new Annual Catalogue Stampin' Up! release a new set of In Colours. So what better way to showcase these new colours than to have a Blog Hop full of inspiring projects using the 2019-2021 In Colours - Pretty Peacock, Terracotta Tile, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Purple Posy.

With the new colours comes new DSP colour family paper packs which I have decided to use for all of the creations in today's post.

I am a huge fan of recycling and in the craft room I like to be extra vigilant with waste and reducing it anyway possible. For a couple of the projects today, I have used the thick card that comes with the large DSP packs and specialty papers. I love the natural look and how thick and sturdy the card is.

Beginner Project

Quick and simple but a little bit special as these tags also use a crop-a-dile to insert the eyelets. A small square of DSP and strip of Sparkle Glimmer Paper with a heat embossed sentiment and the majority of this project is done. Simply add the eyelet and thread and the tags are complete.

Casual Crafter Project

Next up is a set of note cards with stamped and fussy cut images, some die cutting and heat embossing. I have stamped the flower from the Floral Essence stamp set in the coordinating ink colours and fussy cut before adhering to the partially cut whisper white panel which was created using the new Stitched Nested Label Dies. A few sequins from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment in coordinating colours were added to finish off these little note cards.

Avid Crafter Project

The base of these tags have been made from the thick card stock mentioned above. Yes, the Tag Topper punch cut through the card with no issues. A panel of In colour DSP was adhered directly to the tag then layered with stamped and fussy cut images, heat embossed sentiment and die cut foliage.

To be honest I wasn't a huge fan of this years In Colours.....until I started playing with them. Now that I have been able to experiment with them and discover how well they work with the existing colours, I am very happy and grateful that they fill gaps that existed in our colour offerings.

That is all from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by and hopping with us, we appreciate the time you have invested to see what the talented design crew have been up to. Be sure to follow the hop all the way through for even more inspiration using the 2019-2021 In Colours. A full participant list has been provided below. Up next in this months hop is super talented Tami Hewlett with her gorgeous creations - enjoy!! xx

Until next time, stay awesome and stay crafty
