Good Day Crafty Friends
Welcome to One Stamp At A Time Blog hop for September. This month the OSAT Design Team are showcasing projects using items from the Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Catalogue. Our theme is HELLO HOLIDAY CATALOGUE!
I just love the festive season. Christmas and New Years are celebrated during the Summer months here in Australia, which for most of us includes more time spent outdoors with family and friends. Santa can be found at your local shopping mall and also on the beach. On Christmas morning, our local Santa wears beach shorts on the back of a fire engine, guzzling bottles of chilled water as he throws wrapped candy to the neighbourhood kids. My most favourite part of Christmas is all the decorations!! I love everything about wrapping gifts, decorating the tree's, setting up the decorations and posting a gazillion Christmas Cards lol.
With all my family overseas, its imperative I start creating Christmas cards early and I am so thankful Stampin' Up! release the Holiday Catalogue in September. This allows me loads of time to get crafty, and I may have got a little carried away lol. I have a few projects to share with you today, so lets get started. Warning: photo heavy post ahead.
This card uses two new items: Holly Jolly Bundle and the new Basic Pattern Decorative Mask. The Mask has been used to stencil white craft ink onto the Gray Granite card front.
Santa has been coloured using Stamping Blends in Pink and Grey tones to coordinate with the card stock used. The sentiment has been white heat embossed on vellum and die cut.
Again using the same Santa image, this time in Green and Grey tones. The Black card front has been sponged using the brick wall Mask and white craft ink.
A couple of Artisan Pearl Embellishments have been added to the belt of Santa's outfit and on the presents in the sack.
The "Love, Santa" sentiment has been white heat embossed over the sponged brick wall. Some Black and White Bakers Twine (retired) has been added with a bow adhered directly under the fussy cut tree image.
How about Purple Santa? I am kinda addicted to water colour washed backgrounds at the moment so had to create a sample with this Jolly Santa.
Like the images in the creations above, Santa has been coloured using Stampin Blends and die cut with the coordinating Jolly Season Dies.
Not a fan of Purple? How about this subtle version of Santa in Soft Sea Foam and Pool Party?
Die cut snowflakes have been added to the background on a few of today's creations - these have been created using the Trio Of Tags Dies (Page 58) and Seasonal Layers (Page 195 Annual Catalogue)
I absolutely adore the Tidings all Around Bundle (Page 9) and quickly wanted to squeeze a little 'wreath' inspiration into this post.
For this glittery creation, Gold Glimmer and Gold Foil card stock teamed with Blushing Bride and Whisper White were used. Splatters of gold heat embossing has been applied over the embossing paste card front. The sentiment was heat embossed on whisper white card and die cut using the matching dies.
Pink Bakers Twine has been pulled apart and tied into a bow with the gold Jingle Bell in the centre.
Okay now something for the fans of traditional Christmas colours. The card and pizza box have been created using: Wrapped in Plaid 6" x 6" DSP Pack, Basic Pattern Decorative Masks, Tidings All Around Bundle, Jingle Bells, Tags Tags Tags Bundle. You can find all these new items scattered throughout the pages of the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.
The card front has had white embossing paste added using one of the stencils from the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks then the stamped wreath image from the Tidings All Around bundle, die cut foliage, heat embossed sentiment and some Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots have been added. The card front was then adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base that has a strip of Wrapped In Plaid DSP running down the left hand side.
A couple of Shaded Spruce Jingle Bell embellishments were the perfect addition for the bow that adorns the top of the mini pizza box. A piece of Wrapped in Plaid DSP was used to decorate the exterior of the box and the centre of the wreath.
Using coordinating DSP on both the card and gift box is a wonderful touch especially when gifting as a set. For a little extra coordination, stamp the tissue paper that you insert into the mini pizza box with images or sentiments used to decorate the card/box.
That is all from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by and hopping with us.
