Tags & Tidings Christmas Gift Tags

Hello Crafty Friends

I recently had a lovely box of goodies arrive at my door, among other things, I was most excited to get my hands on the Tags & Tidings Stamp Set from the new HOLIDAY catalogue.

I decided that this year, instead of gifting my family and friends Christmas Cards, I would do sets of gifts tags. Facebook and all the technology we have at our disposal today has seen a massive decline in people posting Christmas Cards. It is becoming more popular to send festive season wishes over the internet. However, people do still give gifts!!! And if you are like many of us and put gifts under the Christmas Tree, it needs a tag!!

Tags & Tidings, Christmas Gift Tags, Signs of Santa,

I was super excited to ink up the Tags & Tidings stamp set and get started on my sets of gift tags. This stamp includes 16 tag images on one large photo polymer stamp. So all I did to create the main elements for these tags was white Heat Emboss the Tags & Tiding stamp set twice - once on Cherry Cobbler card stock and once onto Call Me Clover card stock.

I managed to create 24 tags - 12 styles in both colours.  This set has a coordinating die that cuts all 16 tags in one pass of the Big Shot, but I didn't get the die and have cut all the tag images by hand. This allowed my images to be used without working around a "hole" which the die creates for twine etc.

In addition to the Tags and Tidings stamp set, I have also used:
Stitched Labels Framelits
Signs of Santa Stamp set
Scalloped Tag Topper Punch
1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon
3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon - White
6"x 6" In Colour DSP Pack
Silver Foil card stock

Today's post features four of twelve designs. These four designs were all created using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to create the base of the tags.

Tags & Tidings, Christmas Gift Tags, Signs of Santa,

Design 1.

The Whisper White background has been embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. The ENJOY sentiment has been layered over a stitched circle die made from Silver Foil card stock. Both the circular sentiment and Santa Image have been adhered to the tag with mini dimensionals.

Design 2.

The whisper white background on these two cards have been splattered lightly with Cherry Cobbler ink using a Stampin' Blend alcohol marker. A small strip of In Colour DSP has been adhered with Tombow along with a silver foil banner.  The To and From have been stamped before adhering any other elements.  The FOR YOU sentiment and elf have been adhered using mini dimensionals.

Design 3

The HO HO HO sentiment has been fussy and split into three pieces. Again, the whisper white back ground on these tags have light Cherry Cobbler ink splatters. A stitched circle has been added with Tombow as was the three sentiment pieces. The Santa image has been coloured using Stampin' Blends, fussy cut and adhered to the stitched circle with mini dimensionals.

The ribbon on these tags has been swapped from the coloured grosgrain to the Metallic Edge wider type.

Design 4

These tags use fairly much the same elements as the previous tags in Designs 2. The same DSP and small banner have been used but in different ways. The Elf is slightly different, coloured the same but facing the opposite direction, so he has been placed on the opposite side to Design 2. The whisper White Background has been splattered with Call Me Clover ink. The CHRISTMAS GREETINGS sentiment has been fussy cut and adhered with mini dimensionals.
