Welcome to this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge #447. Our uber creative Design Team memeber Narelle has created a fantastic sketch for us to play along with. Its a fantastically flexible sketch with just a few elements and a sentiment.
My starting point for today's card design was the black and white striped DSP. The Botanical Butterfly DSP pack is available in the Sale-a-bration catalogue and can be earned for FREE with a qualifying purchase.
I decided to create a quick water coloured background on Shimmery White Card before adhering the strip of DSP. Next, I added some Black/Silver 1/4" Striped Metallic Ribbon and a die cut Black card stock circle.
The stamped images are from the Sale-a-bration stamp set called Painted Seasons. I have stamped the floral image in Memento Black ink and coloured using Stampin' Blends. Colouring a detailed stamped image this way does all the "shading" for you, making it look like you did something amazingly artistic.
Lemon Lime Twist card stock has been used for the sentiments - stamping the "Thank" with black ink and die cutting the "You" from the Celebrate You Thinlits.
To finish the card a couple of Black sequins have been added. I totally love the bright vivid colours against the black and white. And, this weeks sketch is definitely one I will use again for inspiration.
That's all for today, crafty friends. Be sure to stop by all the Just Add Ink Design Team members blogs for more inspiration using this weeks Just Add Ink embossing challenge theme.

ReplyDeleteLove this card. The water colour background is so pretty and what a great tip for colouring in the flowers.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous card, Jackie!! Your water coloured background is fantastic - so vibrant and I love the shapes and movement in it and how it pops against the black and white elements. xx
