Be Inspired August Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Friends

Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop for August.  You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Western Australia. If you are following the hop, you may have arrived here having just visited Monica Gale. If you are just joining us, grab a comfy seat and be sure to hop all the way through for loads of amazing idea's and inspiring projects shared by the Be Inspired Design Team using this month's theme EMBOSSING.

I am a huge fan of embossing folders and adore how you can transform the look of an ordinary piece of card stock into something truly stunning that has texture, simply with one pass through my Big Shot machine. In saying that, I love heat embossing even more! I was hooked the very first time I heat embossed something and it still buzzes me out today.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin Up, Free As A Bird, Water Coloured, Heat Embossing, Scripty Embossing Folder, Floral Card, Be Inspired Blog Hop,

Today's card uses both types of embossing, - dry and heat. Starting with a Thick Whisper White card base, to this another layer of Whisper White which has been embossed using the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. This is such a pretty and versatile Embossing Folder as sometimes I find patterns can be restricting. The cursive font is gorgeous and you can actually read the script!

Layers of Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana card stock have been adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The Shimmery White card front has been die cut using the Rectangle Stitched dies as were the Apple and Cabana layers.

Using the leaf image, I have white heat embossed the Shimmery card stock and then given it a light wash of Coastal Cabana ink using an Aqua Painter. The stamped images have been coloured using Stampin' Blends, fussy cut and then adhered around the die cut sentiment with mini dimensionals. A couple of Artisan Pearl Embellishments were adhered to the centre of the flowers to finish the card.

That's it from me, crafty friends. Thanks so much for stopping by today. The Be Inspired Design Team appreciate the time you have invested to visit our blogs today, Thank You. Up next in this months Be Inspired Blog Hop is super talented Cathy Caines.

Iris’s & Gingham

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are having a great day. While I am away for work I thought it was the perfect time to share creations made over previous months that I haven't had the opportunity to blog. Today's collection of projects use the floral images from the Inspiring Iris stamp set which you can find on Page 111 of the 2019 Annual Catalogue.

I absolutely adore all the Gingham DSP that Stampin' Up have released. These  6" x 6" DSP Packs are available in Colour Families eg Subtles, Brights, Neutrals, Regals and In Colours. With 40 sheets in a Pack, it is a cost effective way to create loads of quick and easy CAS cards.

For the first card I have used Gingham DSP from the Subtle Collection teamed with some Carnations that have been stamped, coloured with Stampin' Blends and then fussy cut before mounting to the card front with mini dimensionals.

Stampin' Up, Inspiring Iris, Gingham DSP, Jaxx Crafty Creations

I fibbed!! The second card has no Gingham DSP at all!! It does however have one of the floral stamps from the Inspiring Iris stamp set - again coloured with Stampin' Blends and fussy cut. The floral cluster has been mounted over a die cut opening which reveals a whisper white card base, embossed with the Pine Planks embossing folder.

The final card is a variation on the first. Instead of black card stock running along the diagonal edge, I have replaced it with some Scalloped Lace Trim to tie in with the Lace Trim used on the Stitched Label die cut. The Whisper White panel has been embossed using the Lace 3D Embossing Folder.  To finish the card a few Pearl Jewels were added.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Until next time, stay awesome and stay crafty

Beautiful Friendship

Hello Crafty Friends,

Just a quick post today to share a few creations with this gorgeous floral stamp set - Beautiful Friendship. It has to be my favourite from the new 2019 Annual Catalogue. You can find this beauty on page 123 item #149252.

The images work wonderfully for single layer creations and for creating your own stamped backgrounds/DSP.

I am a fan of fussy cutting and found the images were easy and quick to cut which was great as I like a little dimension every now and again.

These two cards were stamped in Rococo Rose, Blueberry Bushel, Sahara Sand and Black inks.

For this collection of Thank You cards, I used the cute little Scalloped Note Cards - stamping them with the Birch Background stamp then applying the die cuts and stamped images.

I love CAS creations and wanted to show the pretty stamped images in subtle muted tones so went with my favourite colour combination, pink, brown and white.

A few more CAS simple creations.....
And a little sponging for the background of this one.

Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time, stay awesome and stay crafty

Just Add Ink #461 - Add Inspiration

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Welcome to this week's Just Add Ink Challenge #461. We have a gorgeous inspiration picture for you to play along with. I love these kind of challenges as everyone interprets the picture so differently and the creations can be so varied.

To play along simply use the inspiration picture as your guide and go bonkers. I am often attracted to colour over anything else and before I even saw this was a street scene, I was immediately drawn to the yellow tones leaves on the trees.

Image may contain: outdoor

My card uses a colour combination of Daffodil Delight, Soft Sea Foam and Smokey Slate. I did originally want to use Silver Foil as well but it didn't fit the look I was after for the final creation.

I haven't made this style or a floating frame card for months and wanted to show how the often overlooked little stamps can do a fabulous job with this technique. You just need press n seal and some patience lol.

The images from Bloom n Grow stamp set and Butterfly Gala were all stamped with Memento ink and coloured using Stampin' Blends. All images excluding the butterfly were fussy cut (I used the punch for the butterfly). I decided I wanted a more free flowing look over a framed look so left the layout as is. Once all the pieces were in place, I stamped the sentiment in the center and finished the card with a few pearl embellishments dotted between the die cuts.

That's all from me today, crafty friends. Be sure to stop by all the Just Add Ink Design Team members blogs for more inspiration using this weeks challenge colours.

We would love for you and your crafty friends to play along, if you have a blog you can add your creation to the Just Add Ink gallery here. Don't have your own blog? No problem! Just send us an email  to  just-add-ink@hotmail.com with a photo attachment. We will upload it to our challenge entry blog for you.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Until next time stay awesome and stay crafty.

One Stamp At A Time - Something Old, Something New

Good Day Crafty Friends

Welcome to the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop for June. This month the talented Design Team are celebrating the release of the new 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue with a cool theme for this Hop - Something Old & Something New

There are always loads of fabulous favourites that carry over and appear alongside all the new delights in the Annual Catalogue, today's Hop is all about showing our followers how to create projects by combining old and new products.

I have chosen to showcase the new 2019-2021 In Colour DSP Packs, teamed with my favourite carry over bundle - Tropical Chic. If you are not familiar with the new 2019-2021 In Colours, let me introduce you;

Now that you are acquainted with the new In Colours, lets have a look at what I have created to share with you today.

First up in my collection of projects is the card. This is a clean and simple layout using strips of DSP and the frangipani flower image stamped in the coordinating In Colours. I saw this marvelous card design on Instagram shared by Yessica Batista @makeamark16 and thought it is such a fabulously simple and effective way to showcase colour combinations.

Up next is a set of mini pocket cards.  I have used a 6"x 6" sheet of 2019-2021 In Colour DSP in all five colours and created little pocket cards with inserts. With the envelope punch board now retired, I reverted to creating the pockets with a scoreboard, snips and adhesive.

I love the scripty font on the new DSP Colour Family Packs and wanted to showcase how stunning it is in all five colours. The pocket fronts were kept fairly simple with a stitched circle die cut, two frangipani flowers to match the DSP colour and die cut foliage created with the Tropical dies and smoky slate card stock.

The inserts have been stamped with the sentiment and flower image from the Vibrant Vases stamp set. The offcut from creating the little pocket envelopes was used to line the insert. A small circle of In Colour card stock has been punched with the 1/2" circle punch and score in the centre. This circle was then adhere to the end of the insert and then punch with small hole punch. Whisper White Metallic Edge Ribbon and White Bakers Twine have been added to enable the receivers something to grab and pull the insert.

That is all from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by and hopping with us. The One Stamp At A Time Design Team appreciate the time you have invested to visit our blogs and see the creations we have to share with you. Be sure to follow the hop all the way through for loads of inspiration using products from the new 2019 Annual Catalogue.

The talented Artisans have had the pleasure of creating some inspirational samples with this amazing new style of product and we cannot wait to share them with you. This limited time collection of coordinating, petal packed products has everything you need to let your creativity bloom.

No photo description available.

What is this fangdangled Product Medley you ask? Just an extraordinary set of deluxe products combined in a suite that can be purchased under one item code like a kit (item #150059).  The Everything Is Rosy Product Medley has been created with no preset designs or instructions to follow. With the variety and volume of items included in the Everything Is Rosy Medley,  the creative possibilities are endless.

So what exactly is included in this "suite in a box"? Glad you asked, because it is truly astonishing the amount of product you get for AUD$139 (plus postage). That's right, all the items listed in the graphic below for just AUD$139.

As you will see shortly,  I have a few cards to share with you today, actually I have loads, and that is because I could not stop creating with these delightful goodies. I had so much fun and found it so easy to put items together, before I knew it, I had quite a hefty pile of cards to photograph.

To create the first set of cards, I managed to use every item in the box - stamped and die cut images, Rose Gold Foil Shimmer Paint for splattering and stamping, snippets of the exquisite Designer Series Paper (DSP), Rose Gold Foil Sheets, Ribbons, Mirror Embellishments, and my most favourite of all - the precut images and labels.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin Up, Everything Is Rosy, Rose Gold, Floral Cards, Card Kit, Artisan Design Team 2019,

The next collection of cards focuses on one of the sheets of DSP with four of the five cards using less than two pieces of 6"x 6". The following designs also combine other items from my crafty stash to show easily the content from Everything Is Rosy works with products outside the Medley.

Again, focusing on another DSP design, this one with a vivid colour palette consisting of  mainly of Night of Navy and Melon Mambo floral.  The precut images makes for super fast creations and might I add not only are they absolutely gorgeous, crafting with precut images is tidy crafting at its best! All i had to do was pop them out off the sheet, add a dimensional and just like that you are done!

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin Up, Everything Is Rosy, Rose Gold, Floral Cards, Card Kit, Artisan Design Team 2019,

Can you tell I totally adore the Designer Series Paper? The colours are rich and vibrant, with hints of rose gold elegance. What is not to adore, right? The luxurious Night of Navy/Rose Gold sheets are perfect for masculine cards, and on the opposite sides of the sheets are fun patterns and colour tones ideal for young adults and children.

The next set of cards have no DSP, this time I focused on some simple stamping, showing how versatile the Everything Is Rosy Product Medley is and how it can appeal to all crafting levels.  The first two in this group of cards have been stamped in fun, bright colours - Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Blushing Bride and Petal Pink. The remaining three have more muted neutral tones with one "doodled" on (details added directly to the card/stamped image with a Black Stampin' Write Marker).
