Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop - Sept - Follow Your Art

Good Day Crafty Friends

Welcome to the Stampin' Up! 2019 Artisan Design Team Blog Hop for September. You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Western Australia. I am so excited about this month's Blog Hop, the Artisan Design Team have so many amazing projects to share.
With the current Designer Series Paper Sale in full swing, this Blog Hop has loads of inspiring ideas's using suites that include Designer Series Paper that are part of this promotion. Purchase any 3 Designer Series Paper Packs from the select list and receive the 4th Pack free.

DSP included in this promotion can be found in the 2019 Annual Catalogue:
Magnolia Lane, Garden Lane, Follow Your Art, Woven Threads - Page 165
Dinoroar, Bird Ballad, See A Silhouette, Perennial Essence - Page 166
Come Sail Away, Pressed Petals - Page 167

I had the pleasure of creating with the Follow Your Art Suite (Page 53 Annual Catalogue). Such an extensive suite which has the most delightful collection of coordinating products: Stamps, Dies, Embossing Folder, Embellishment Kits, Designer Series Paper, Washi Tape and Mini Shipping Boxes.

I absolutely adore the Art & Craft Dies! They cut beautifully and are just so darn cute. Those buttons!!! There are three border dies one of which is also a line of buttons! Looking at my samples you may notice I have also used images from the Crafting Forever stamp set. This stamp set works perfectly with the Follow Your Art Suite.

The first card I have to share with you today has been created using torn pieces of DSP. I chose a variety of different coloured pieces and stamped the letters "create" using the Lined Alphabet Stamp Set (Page 159 Annual Catalogue). These pieces were then sewn onto a Whisper White card front that has been embossed using the Scripty Embossing Folder. Stamped images and die cuts were added along with the heat embossed sentiment.

For the next card I have used a water colour washed card front adhered to a panel of Follow Your Art DSP. A few stamped images, coloured using Stampin' Blends and die cut using the Art & Craft Dies were added. An index card which has been cut down and used for the sentiment has been adhered to the card front with Multi Purpose Adhesive with the stamped images adhered using mini dimensionals.

I have used my third card design to decorate an Acetate Card Box. DSP has been used as a band around the Acetate Box (which did you know, holds seven Stampin' Blend markers perfectly). Blushing Bride Card stock has been used for the base with a panel of DSP adhered over the top. Stamped images from It Starts With Art & Crafting Forever, along with a Glue Gun fussy cut from DSP has been scattered around the Heat Embossed Sentiment.

Next is a little Pen Box. The outside has been kept simple with a panel of DSP covering the So Saffron Box exterior. The Sentiment from Follow Your Art stamp set has been White Heat Embossed onto Black card stock and die cut using an Oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

Inside the Pen Box

And finally, a little Craft Room in a Box. Lots of different pieces of the Follow Your Art DSP has been used for this Box Card - floors, rug, table top, folders, card pocket, utensil holders, clipboard, books and fussy cut images like the ink pads and ink refills.

Buttons have been used for the drawer handles, die cut in Mint Macaron and threaded with White Bakers Twine. To create the heat tool gun, I have snipped the end of an old pair of ear buds and adhered the cord to the wall with a strong adhesive. The little clipboard is simply a piece of Sahara Sand card with some DSP and a Mini Library Clip.

Fussy cut images from the Designer Series Paper were used to fill the Utensil containers, the Ink Pads on the desk and Ink refills in the shelf.  The sponge dish is simply a die cut circle with a snippet of sponge glued inside. The folders on the shelf are scored pieces of DSP with black circles adhered to the "spine". Folded strips of coloured card were used to fill the other shelves. A little pocket envelope on the left hand side holds a card with space to write a message.

That is all from me today.  Be sure to follow the Hop all the way through for more details about all the crazy awesome projects the ADT have to share with you using Designer Series Paper that are included in the DSP Promotion.

Up next is super talented Jennifer Picard with her absolutely adorable creations. Enjoy xx

Just Add Ink #475 - Food

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Image may contain: text

Welcome to Just Add Ink Challenge #475. We have a fun Challenge for you to play along with this week - Just Add Food.

I love Pineapples!! They are one of my favourite fruits. Every time I eat them I am reminded of our family Campervan trip around Queensland. We drove past so many Pineapple Plantations and got to eat freshly harvested Pineapples on a daily basis.  I even adore the way they smell and one of my favourite scents has Pineapple notes. I also make Pineapple scented Soaps for our household as Hubby is also a fan.

So can you guess what food item I chose to add for this weeks project....watermelons?! Just kidding, Pineapples of course lol

I truly adore black and white stripes on cards and have pulled out some retired DSP for these creations. Pops of Granny Apple Green and Pineapple Punch tied in perfectly with the Whisper White and Stripes.

The Pineapple images are from the Time for Tags stamp set, which is a hostess set from the 2019 Annual Catalogue. They have been stamped multiple times, coloured using Stampin' Blends and then fussy cut.

That's all for today, crafty friends. Be sure to stop by all the Just Add Ink Design Team members blogs for more inspiration using this weeks Just Add Inspiration Challenge.

We would love for you and your crafty friends to play along, if you have a blog you can add your creation to the Just Add Ink gallery here. Don't have your own blog? No problem! OSAT Blog Hop - Hello Holiday Catalogue

Good Day Crafty Friends

Welcome to One Stamp At A Time Blog hop for September. This month the OSAT Design Team are showcasing projects using items from the Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Catalogue. Our theme is HELLO HOLIDAY CATALOGUE!
OSAT
I just love the festive season. Christmas and New Years are celebrated during the Summer months here in Australia, which for most of us includes more time spent outdoors with family and friends. Santa can be found at your local shopping mall and also on the beach. On Christmas morning, our local Santa wears beach shorts on the back of a fire engine, guzzling bottles of chilled water as he throws wrapped candy to the neighbourhood kids. My most favourite part of Christmas is all the decorations!! I love everything about wrapping gifts, decorating the tree's, setting up the decorations and posting a gazillion Christmas Cards lol.

With all my family overseas, its imperative I start creating Christmas cards early and I am so thankful Stampin' Up! release the Holiday Catalogue in September. This allows me loads of time to get crafty, and I may have got a little carried away lol.  I have a few projects to share with you today, so lets get started. Warning: photo heavy post ahead.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin' Up!, Holly Jolly Christmas, Christmas Cards, Tidings All Around, Wrapped In Plaid DSP, Basic Pattern Decorative Masks

This card uses two new items: Holly Jolly Bundle and the new Basic Pattern Decorative Mask. The Mask has been used to stencil white craft ink onto the Gray Granite card front.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin' Up!, Holly Jolly Christmas, Christmas Cards, Tidings All Around, Wrapped In Plaid DSP, Basic Pattern Decorative Masks

Santa has been coloured using Stamping Blends in Pink and Grey tones to coordinate with the card stock used. The sentiment has been white heat embossed on vellum and die cut.

Again using the same Santa image, this time in Green and Grey tones. The Black card front has been sponged using the brick wall Mask and white craft ink.

A couple of Artisan Pearl Embellishments have been added to the belt of Santa's outfit and on the presents in the sack.

The "Love, Santa" sentiment has been white heat embossed over the sponged brick wall. Some Black and White Bakers Twine (retired) has been added with a bow adhered directly under the fussy cut tree image.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin' Up!, Holly Jolly Christmas, Christmas Cards, Tidings All Around, Wrapped In Plaid DSP, Basic Pattern Decorative Masks

How about Purple Santa? I am kinda addicted to water colour washed backgrounds at the moment so had to create a sample with this Jolly Santa.

Like the images in the creations above, Santa has been coloured using Stampin Blends and die cut with the coordinating Jolly Season Dies.

Not a fan of Purple? How about this subtle version of Santa in Soft Sea Foam and Pool Party?

Die cut snowflakes have been added to the background on a few of today's creations - these have been created using the Trio Of Tags Dies (Page 58) and Seasonal Layers (Page 195 Annual Catalogue)

I absolutely adore the Tidings all Around Bundle (Page 9) and quickly wanted to squeeze a little 'wreath' inspiration into this post.

For this glittery creation, Gold Glimmer and Gold Foil card stock teamed with Blushing Bride and Whisper White were used. Splatters of gold heat embossing has been applied over the embossing paste card front. The sentiment was heat embossed on whisper white card and die cut using the matching dies.

Pink Bakers Twine has been pulled apart and tied into a bow with the gold Jingle Bell in the centre.

Okay now something for the fans of traditional Christmas colours. The card and pizza box have been created using: Wrapped in Plaid 6" x 6" DSP Pack, Basic Pattern Decorative Masks, Tidings All Around Bundle, Jingle Bells, Tags Tags Tags Bundle. You can find all these new items scattered throughout the pages of the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin' Up!, Holly Jolly Christmas, Christmas Cards, Tidings All Around, Wrapped In Plaid DSP, Basic Pattern Decorative Masks

The card front has had white embossing paste added using one of the stencils from the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks then the stamped wreath image from the Tidings All Around bundle, die cut foliage, heat embossed sentiment and some Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots have been added. The card front was then adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base that has a strip of Wrapped In Plaid DSP running down the left hand side.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin' Up!, Holly Jolly Christmas, Christmas Cards, Tidings All Around, Wrapped In Plaid DSP, Basic Pattern Decorative Masks
A couple of Shaded Spruce Jingle Bell embellishments were the perfect addition for the bow that adorns the top of the mini pizza box. A piece of Wrapped in Plaid DSP was used to decorate the exterior of the box and the centre of the wreath.

Using coordinating DSP on both the card and gift box is a wonderful touch especially when gifting as a set. For a little extra coordination, stamp the tissue paper that you insert into the mini pizza box with images or sentiments used to decorate the card/box.

Colour INKspiration #63

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome to Colour INKspiration #63. Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Gold Foil are this fortnight's challenge colours. How delightful is this trio of colours. I absolutely adore the inspiration picture below but somehow my creation looks nothing like this gorgeous image.

Image may contain: indoor

My card today starts with a piece of Rococo Rose In Colour gingham DSP. The next layer is a piece of Shimmery White card stock that has had a water colour wash applied using Seaside Spray ink with an Aqua Painter. Once dry, this piece was then ran through the Big Shot using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

2019-2021 In Colour DSP Pack, 2019-2021 In Colour Faceted Dot Embellishments, 2019-2021 In Colours, Colour INKspiration Blog Challenge, Free As A Bird, Gingham DSP, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Watercolour,

I decided to incorporate the Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray colours into this creation by stamping images from the Free As A Bird stamp set onto some Gingham In Colour DSP. These images were then fussy cut and added to the card front using a combination of Tombow and mini dimensionals.

The sentiment from Daisy Lane has been stamped and then die cut using the Stitched Shapes Dies. Tucked behind the sentiment is a vellum die cut circle.

2019-2021 In Colour DSP Pack, 2019-2021 In Colour Faceted Dot Embellishments, 2019-2021 In Colours, Colour INKspiration Blog Challenge, Free As A Bird, Gingham DSP, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Watercolour,

I almost completely forgot about the gold foil so at the last minute I added a strip under the sentiment and a few die cut "leaves" to the floral cluster.  To finish the card I added a few 2019 In Colour Faceted Dot embellishments in Seaside Spray.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Mercury Glass Acetate

Hello Crafty Friends

Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop for September.  This month the Design Team are showcasing a really stunning product from 2019 Holiday Catalogue.  For something a little bit different we will be sharing projects made with the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate. You can find this gorgeous pack of of Acetate Sheets on Page 33 of the Catalogue.

No photo description available.

I have a few creations to share with you today. First up is a card perfect for beginner crafters. Starting with a piece of shimmery white cards stock, some white heat embossed snowflake images have been added before applying a water colour wash in Coastal Cabana ink.

The snow globe background has been created simply by die cutting a circle of Mercury Glass Acetate and adhering it behind the stamped cottage image. I thought the speckled treatment in the Acetate looked very close to falling "snow".

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin Up, Artisan Design Team 2019, Holly Jolly Christmas, Tidings All Around, Mercury Glass Acetate, Still Scenes, Snow Globe Scene Dies,

The Still Scenes bundle on Page 43 of the Holiday Catalogue is what I have used to create the snow globe. The snowy cottage image has been stamped in Memento ink and colored using Stampin' Blends.

The next card is perfect for casual/avid crafting levels and again uses the Still Scenes bundle. The Feels Like Frost DSP (Page 42) has been sponged with Purple Posy, Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo inks before die cutting the hole for the Snow Globe Shaker Dome.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin Up, Artisan Design Team 2019, Holly Jolly Christmas, Tidings All Around, Mercury Glass Acetate, Still Scenes, Snow Globe Scene Dies,

To create the Mercury Glass Acetate Background for the snow globe, I have die cut a slightly larger circle than the actual Shaker Dome piece. A few snowflake Sequins were added to the stamped image before adhering the Acetate.

The detailed stamped image that makes up the base of the Dome has been silver heat embossed onto Purple Posy card stock and then Silver Glimmer paper for the detailed die cut base. Silver Glimmer paper has been added to the edge of the card base before adhering the sponged DSP panel.

The next card showcases the Acetate by using a full piece to cover a Thick Whisper White Card Base. Die cut stitched rectangles have been adhered over the top of the Mercury Glass Acetate using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin Up, Artisan Design Team 2019, Holly Jolly Christmas, Tidings All Around, Mercury Glass Acetate, Still Scenes, Snow Globe Scene Dies,

The Whisper White panel has been silver heat embossed with sprinkling of stars. The stamped stocking and present images have been coloured using Stampin' Blends, die cut and adhered to the card front using dimensionals.

The sentiment "Tidings of Comfort and Joy" is from the Tidings All Around Stamp Set, which was white heat embossed onto Black card, fussy cut and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The final project I have to share is a decor piece that I will be able to display in my house in a few months time. You could change the colours to suit the colours your household uses at Christmas time and there is also room to add a family name if you are giving as a gift.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin Up, Artisan Design Team 2019, Holly Jolly Christmas, Tidings All Around, Mercury Glass Acetate, Still Scenes, Snow Globe Scene Dies,

Using the Mercury Glass Acetate as a background for this Christmas die cut scene, I have added a panel over the top of a piece of DSP that has been cut exactly the same size. The DSP used is from the Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP Pack, a white piece with Smoky Slate snowflakes.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin Up, Artisan Design Team 2019, Holly Jolly Christmas, Tidings All Around, Mercury Glass Acetate, Still Scenes, Snow Globe Scene Dies,

Blushing Bride and Black card stock were used for the die cuts elements which were created using the Jolly Season Dies (Page 25).  The heat embossed sentiment "Christmas Cheer" is from the Tidings All Around stamp set and has been laid over a strip of White Flax Ribbon. A little blushing bride card stock has been punched using the Decorative Ribbon Border punch and tucked under the Flax Ribbon.

That is all from me today. The Stamping Sunday Design Team appreciate the time you have invested to Blog Hop with us and hope you enjoy all the amazing idea's we have to share with you using the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate.

Up next in the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop is my super talented fellow Artisan, Mikaela Titheridge with her mind blowing creations. Enjoy x

Welcome to this week's Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Choose Two from Metallics, Twine or Washi Tape. For today's creation I choose to use all three elements, a strip of Black and Washi tape, Metallic Twine and Gold Foil cardstock.
