One Stamp At A Time - Something Old, Something New

Good Day Crafty Friends

Welcome to the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop for June. This month the talented Design Team are celebrating the release of the new 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue with a cool theme for this Hop - Something Old & Something New

There are always loads of fabulous favourites that carry over and appear alongside all the new delights in the Annual Catalogue, today's Hop is all about showing our followers how to create projects by combining old and new products.

I have chosen to showcase the new 2019-2021 In Colour DSP Packs, teamed with my favourite carry over bundle - Tropical Chic. If you are not familiar with the new 2019-2021 In Colours, let me introduce you;

Now that you are acquainted with the new In Colours, lets have a look at what I have created to share with you today.

First up in my collection of projects is the card. This is a clean and simple layout using strips of DSP and the frangipani flower image stamped in the coordinating In Colours. I saw this marvelous card design on Instagram shared by Yessica Batista @makeamark16 and thought it is such a fabulously simple and effective way to showcase colour combinations.

Up next is a set of mini pocket cards.  I have used a 6"x 6" sheet of 2019-2021 In Colour DSP in all five colours and created little pocket cards with inserts. With the envelope punch board now retired, I reverted to creating the pockets with a scoreboard, snips and adhesive.

I love the scripty font on the new DSP Colour Family Packs and wanted to showcase how stunning it is in all five colours. The pocket fronts were kept fairly simple with a stitched circle die cut, two frangipani flowers to match the DSP colour and die cut foliage created with the Tropical dies and smoky slate card stock.

The inserts have been stamped with the sentiment and flower image from the Vibrant Vases stamp set. The offcut from creating the little pocket envelopes was used to line the insert. A small circle of In Colour card stock has been punched with the 1/2" circle punch and score in the centre. This circle was then adhere to the end of the insert and then punch with small hole punch. Whisper White Metallic Edge Ribbon and White Bakers Twine have been added to enable the receivers something to grab and pull the insert.

That is all from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by and hopping with us. The One Stamp At A Time Design Team appreciate the time you have invested to visit our blogs and see the creations we have to share with you. Be sure to follow the hop all the way through for loads of inspiration using products from the new 2019 Annual Catalogue.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #57

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Image may contain: text

Welcome to Colour INKspiration Challenge #57. We have the yummiest colour combination for you to play along with this week - Lovely Lipstick, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green. Such fun and happy colours - they remind me of all the summer fruits that I adore - peaches, apples, berries, melons and pineapple.

I am a huge fan of all three colour individually and knew combining them using floral stamps would be a fairly easy task, so challenged myself to create two cards, one floral and the other clean and simple.

jaxx crafty creations, CAS cards, Colour INKspiration Blog Challenge, Floral Essence, Genuine Gems, Thank You Card,

Lets take a closer look at the floral card. Using the stamps from Floral Essence Stamp Set, the images were stamped in all three colours and spritz lightly with water prior to stamping onto Shimmery White Card Stock. The fussy cut images have been adhered to a stitched circle die cut with mini dimensionals.

The Daffodil Delight card front has been embossed with the Tufted Embossing Folder and adhered to a layer of White White before adhering to the Daffodil Delight Card Base. A strip of White Flax Ribbon has been adhered to the card front before attaching the floral cluster. The sentiment from Tropical Chic has been stamped in Smoky Slate, fussy cut and adhered with Tombow and Mini Dimensionals.

The next card pleases my CAS loving soul and was super simple to create. With a Whisper White Card front lightly splattered with Daffodil Delight ink, a few notches were cut top and bottom to secured some linen thread.

The sentiment from Genuine Gems stamp set has been white heat embossed onto Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Lovely Lipstick card. Each line of all three sentiments were then cut and reconstructed to form one sentiment in multiple colours.

To finish the card I added some epoxy heart embellishments and attached a linen thread bow. The card front once completed was adhered to a layer of Sahara Sand card before attaching to the Whisper White Card Base.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - New In Colours

Good Day Crafty Friends

Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop for June. With every new Annual Catalogue Stampin' Up! release a new set of In Colours. So what better way to showcase these new colours than to have a Blog Hop full of inspiring projects using the 2019-2021 In Colours - Pretty Peacock, Terracotta Tile, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Purple Posy.

With the new colours comes new DSP colour family paper packs which I have decided to use for all of the creations in today's post.

I am a huge fan of recycling and in the craft room I like to be extra vigilant with waste and reducing it anyway possible. For a couple of the projects today, I have used the thick card that comes with the large DSP packs and specialty papers. I love the natural look and how thick and sturdy the card is.

Beginner Project

Quick and simple but a little bit special as these tags also use a crop-a-dile to insert the eyelets. A small square of DSP and strip of Sparkle Glimmer Paper with a heat embossed sentiment and the majority of this project is done. Simply add the eyelet and thread and the tags are complete.

Casual Crafter Project

Next up is a set of note cards with stamped and fussy cut images, some die cutting and heat embossing. I have stamped the flower from the Floral Essence stamp set in the coordinating ink colours and fussy cut before adhering to the partially cut whisper white panel which was created using the new Stitched Nested Label Dies. A few sequins from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment in coordinating colours were added to finish off these little note cards.

Avid Crafter Project

The base of these tags have been made from the thick card stock mentioned above. Yes, the Tag Topper punch cut through the card with no issues. A panel of In colour DSP was adhered directly to the tag then layered with stamped and fussy cut images, heat embossed sentiment and die cut foliage.

To be honest I wasn't a huge fan of this years In Colours.....until I started playing with them. Now that I have been able to experiment with them and discover how well they work with the existing colours, I am very happy and grateful that they fill gaps that existed in our colour offerings.

That is all from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by and hopping with us, we appreciate the time you have invested to see what the talented design crew have been up to. Be sure to follow the hop all the way through for even more inspiration using the 2019-2021 In Colours. A full participant list has been provided below. Up next in this months hop is super talented Tami Hewlett with her gorgeous creations - enjoy!! xx

Until next time, stay awesome and stay crafty
