Welcome to the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop for October. This month the talented Design Team are sharing fabulously fun creations with a SPOOKTACULAR theme. Now, I must confess I totally love everything about Halloween creations but its not celebrated hugely here in Australia so its not something I get to do often. I had so much fun with the projects I have to share today and so wish I had little children so we could do the whole Halloween thing.

Shimmery White card stock has been splashed with Granny Apple Green ink using an Aqua Painter and cut down to fit the front of a 4" Note Card layered with GAG Card.

The Greeting from the Tags Tags Tags bundle has been white heat embossed on Highland Heather card and die card. I have also used the uber cute little pumpkin dies from the same bundle, cut from Pumpkin Pie card sand layered over Black.

How cute is the little Pumpkin! And its a gift box to boot!! One quick pass through the Big Shot and you have the cutest mini curvy keepsake package.

Before constructing the gift box, I ran a few lines down the Pumpkin Pie card stock with a Stampin' Blend. Black card stock has been snipped into the triangle shapes for the eyes and wonky mouth. Early Espresso strips were curled and added to the top with Tombow along with a couple of die cut leaves.

One Stamp At A Time - Down At The Farm

Welcome to the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop for July. This month the Design Team are creating projects with a fun theme - Down At The Farm. You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Western Australia. 

Can you believe I do not have any current stamp sets that remotely fitted the brief, so what I did when visiting a demonstrator friend a few weeks ago was to stamp a few images from the Over the Moon & Fable Friends stamp sets. 

I decided to use the Bunny from Fable Friends because to be perfectly honest, I was not overly pleased with my colouring attempts of the cows lol, plus the Bunny is super duper cute!

My card uses the die from Lovely Flowers to create the grass, which was cut from Shimmery White card and sponged with Granny Apply Green ink. Next up is the fence, which was made using loads of the rope die from Smooth Sailing.

The Birch Background stamp was perfect for the Barn exterior which was die cut using the Stitched Nested Label dies. A few flowers from the Free As A Bird stamp set were scattered around the die cut grass using a combination of Tombow and Mini Dimensionals.

To coordinate with the card I decorated one of the Kraft Pillow Boxes using the same Bunny & Floral Images. I love these boxes, they are perfect for little trinkety gifts or just filling with your favourite sweets.

Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon has been used to wrapped the Pillow Box. The bow has had a heat gun applied after the bow was created to give the ribbon a wrinkly look.

One Stamp At A Time - Something Old, Something New

Welcome to the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop for June. This month the talented Design Team are celebrating the release of the new 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue with a cool theme for this Hop - Something Old & Something New. 

There are always loads of fabulous favourites that carry over and appear alongside all the new delights in the Annual Catalogue, today's Hop is all about showing our followers how to create projects by combining old and new products.

I have chosen to showcase the new 2019-2021 In Colour DSP Packs, teamed with my favourite carry over bundle - Tropical Chic. If you are not familiar with the new 2019-2021 In Colours, let me introduce you;

Now that you are acquainted with the new In Colours, lets have a look at what I have created to share with you today.

First up in my collection of projects is the card. This is a clean and simple layout using strips of DSP and the frangipani flower image stamped in the coordinating In Colours. I saw this marvelous card design on Instagram shared by Yessica Batista @makeamark16 and thought it is such a fabulously simple and effective way to showcase colour combinations.

Up next is a set of mini pocket cards.  I have used a 6"x 6" sheet of 2019-2021 In Colour DSP in all five colours and created little pocket cards with inserts. With the envelope punch board now retired, I reverted to creating the pockets with a scoreboard, snips and adhesive.

I love the scripty font on the new DSP Colour Family Packs and wanted to showcase how stunning it is in all five colours. The pocket fronts were kept fairly simple with a stitched circle die cut, two frangipani flowers to match the DSP colour and die cut foliage created with the Tropical dies and smoky slate card stock.

The inserts have been stamped with the sentiment and flower image from the Vibrant Vases stamp set. The offcut from creating the little pocket envelopes was used to line the insert. A small circle of In Colour card stock has been punched with the 1/2" circle punch and score in the centre. This circle was then adhere to the end of the insert and then punch with small hole punch. Whisper White Metallic Edge Ribbon and White Bakers Twine have been added to enable the receivers something to grab and pull the insert.

One Stamp At A Time - Fabulous Florals

Welcome to the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop for May - FABULOUS FLORAL'S. You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Perth, Western Australia. This month the Design Team are sharing inspirational and creative projects with a Floral Theme. Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all the over the globe gather together twice at year at various locations around the world for a fun event known to many as Onstage.  In April, the Three Day Live Event was held in Auckland, New Zealand, and I was lucky enough to attend.

One of the many perks of attending these events is that Demonstrators get to view, touch and create with new items that will debut in the new Annual Catalogue. Plus there are freebies galore! As an all attendee give away, the Daisy Lane Stamp Set (item #149325) was a delight to receive in our Convention bags and I couldn't wait to get back to Australia to my crafty space and show it some ink. That is exactly what I did the day after my return and here are my creations.

The first two cards use the same colour combination with different orientations and layouts. I chose to use, Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride and some Soft Sea Foam for the foliage. The sentiments have been die cut using the littlest die from the Stitched Rectangle Framelits.

For the next set of projects I have used Granny Apple Green and Pineapple Punch inks with Whisper White and Kraft card stock. Tucked behind the card front is a panel of Granny Apple Green Polka Dot DSP from the Brights 6" x 6" DSP Pack (item #146964).

Last weekend I purchased a bracelet and set of earrings at a local crafts market and decided it needed to be packaged in one of the cute Gable Boxes (item #146961) decorated with Granny Apple Green DSP to coordinate with the card.

The large sentiment "I told the universe to send some awesome your way" comes from the Genuine Gems Stamp Set (item #149395). The little banner on the box and the sentiment inside the banner are from the Sailing Home Bundle (item #151066). The recipient of this little package loves Green so I added a big Granny Apple Green bow to the top of the box.

One Stamp At A Time - Bring On The Birthdays

Welcome to the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop for March - BRING ON THE BIRTHDAYS. You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Perth, Western Australia.  This month the Design Team are sharing inspirational and creative projects with a Birthday Theme. I have a few projects to share with you today, all created using the Sweetest Thing Bundle (item 150568) which can be found in the Occasions Catalogue on Pages 14 & 15. I have taken my inspiration from The How Sweet It Is DSP (item 148568) for this collection of cards.  I totally love the bright, bold colour palette and the fun patterns....those gummy bears and gumball machines are seriously too dang cute!

The first card features fussy cut DSP cupcakes with the greeting "treats" stamped in Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Grapefruit Grove inks. The coordinating framelits were used to die cut the greetings, which were then adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

For the next card, I've used more DSP images, this time replacing the cupcakes with Candy Jars. AND no fussy cutting required!!! The Jar of Sweets Framelits not only die cut the stamped images but also images on some sheets of the DSP.

The third card also features those super cute Candy Jar images, they are just too cute not to use and hey, someone has done all the work for me, all I had to do was put my arm to work on the Big Shot lol.  I have omitted the Heat Embossed sentiment for this card, opting to stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Amazing Life Stamp Set (item 148750) onto a panel of whisper white card stock in Smoky Slate ink.

To create the two little Jar shaped cards I have taken a small note card and used one of the Jar of Sweets Framelits to partial die cut on the fold. Then, a fussy cut image from the DSP has been added to the front of the shaped card base then finished off with a heat embossed sentiment.

Two little note cards with sewn banners are the final two projects I have to share today. I totally love these sized note cards, which were inspired by fellow Artisan Design Team member, Lauren Alarid. Lauren frequently makes the most adorable note cards, which are little miniature works of art and places them in her daughters lunchbox. They are also the perfect size to attach to a bouquet of flowers, box of chocolates or bottle of wine. You can find Lauren's creations on her blog - Crafty Little Peach.
