Hope you are having a great day. It's time for a challenge! This week's challenge at Just Add Ink is "Just Add a Shaker". I love interactive cards, especially Shaker cards! They remind me of all things fun from my childhood - curly straws and plastic bangles with glitter inside, souvenir pens that had panels with moving inserts and sparkly tinsel that was floating in some kind of liquid and hundreds and thousands!!!!
I made three shaker cards for my Onstage Display Board using the new Sea of Textures stamp set. I have two to share with you today.
Onto Shimmery White Card Stock the seaweed, coral and Octopus images have been White Heat Embossed. Lemon Lime Twist, Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point inks were applied with sponges. A toothbrush was used to flick water splotches over the sponging. The Layering Oval Framelits were used to create the shaker window. Acetate and Foam Strips have been used to create the window.
To the card base, a strip of Whisper White stamped with the Diagonal stripe background stamp has been attached. Under the area where the window sits, I have attached some of the Iridescent Sequins to the card base with Tombow. This enables a few are always seen even when the card is held upright.
A heat embossed sentiment has been attached to the acetate window with Tombow. To finish the card a few Soft Sea Foam Adhesive Backed Sequins available in the new catalogue available June 1st.

My second card has all Silver Heat Embossed images. I didn't receive the Framelits that come with this stamp set, so everything has been fussy cut. The sea bottom has been created from Vellum using the edge frame die, from the Detailed Floral Thinlits. Dimensionals separate the two layers. The fishnet image has been Silver Heat Embossed onto Vellum, fussy cut and attached to the edge of the window frame over the acetate.
The Octopus has been attached to a sponged background (also water splattered) with dimensionals as are the coral on the bottom. White "sand" has been added before adhering the Window card front. For those that don't understand my reference to sand - I live one street away from the beach, but I like to use Acrylic Texture Coat that is used on the exterior of house over Render.
I finished the card with a White Heat Embossed sentiment on Black Card Stock, attached with mini dimensionals.
We would love for you to play along with this week's Just Add a Shaker challenge. You can add your card to the gallery here.
Wishing you a fabulous and crafty weekend,

I love the colour details and splotches and splashes in your first card and adore the crisp white, soft vellum and Bermuda/ silver combo in the second - both are absolutely stunning and I can’t wait to see what you created for your other On Stage samples! xx
