Good Day Crafty Friends,
Hope you are having a great day. Happy Spring! We have had a wonderful start to the season here in Perth, the sun is shining but not killer hot, there is little wind, no rain and therefore makes for pleasant walking the fur babies kinda days.
The start of Spring is also a time to start adding cards to my Christmas stash. Having just received the new So Santa stamp set (Page 23 of the NEW Holiday Catalogue #147821), I couldn't wait to ink it up for the first time.
Those who follow me and my style of card making know that I am not a huge fan of traditional Christmas colours and themes. The super cute scootering and surfing Santa images in this stamp set won my heart from the get go. Plus the sentiments and images are perfect for Australian/Kiwi themed Christmas cards.
Sooo stinkin' cute! For my card I chose to use the Scooter riding Santa with his sack of presents on the front of the card teamed with some Coastal Cabana DSP and card stock. The stamped image has been coloured with Stampin' Blends, fussy cut and then adhered to the card front with mini dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped directly onto the Whisper White card front with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The inside is a tunnel box card with Santa and his surfboard front and centre. The background has been sponged with Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo inks and splashed with Coastal Cabana flicks.
Santa, the stacks of presents and starfish were all coloured using Stampin' Blends. The tunnel box card folds flat for posting and when opened Santa moves with the folds of the card.
Basic Tunnel Card Measurements:
Base - Two pieces measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Score One @ 4 1/4", Score the Second @ 1/2", 4 1/4" and 4 3/4"
Insert - 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" trim a sliver off each side and the top, THEN, score 1/4" in from both sides.
Construct and decorate.

I have already created quite a few cards with this stamp set, so be sure to check back for more projects idea's in the coming weeks.
Until next time, stay awesome, stay organised and stay crafty
