One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop - Lay it Out

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Welcome to the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop for June 2018. I am so super excited to be joining this team of talented Demonstrators as we share our creativity with monthly themed blog hops using Stampin' Up! products.

This month’s theme is "Lay it Out". Yay!! Something a little different and fun. I totally enjoyed this challenge as I don't often create Page Layouts, and ended up going a little overboard with two colour themed projects. While I had everything out it was easier to create two sets, also just incase I boo booed one,  there was a back up project lol.

Stitched All Around, Rooted in Nature, Artisan Textures, Stampin Up

There are literally so many stunning suites in the new Annual Catalogue, I have to admit I felt spoilt for choice when choosing what items to use for this challenge. As mentioned earlier, I have made a few sets - A Page Layout with matching card.

The first Page and Card use the bright and fun, Pineapple Punch teamed with Black & White. I have used a variety of stamps along with Archival Black & Pineapple Punch inks. A portion of both the Page and Card have also been lightly sponged.

Its a very eclectic design created using a mix of stamps inked in Black Archival ink: Tabs for Everything, Artisan Textures, Timeless Textures, Rooted in Nature, Pick a Pennant and Stitched All Around.

And a mix of die cuts created using: Stitched Labels Framelits, Petal Palette Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits.

The second set also includes a layout and matching card. This time swapping out the Pineapple Punch for Lemon Lime Twist - even though the photo's really do not do the LLT any justice.

I have used almost the same stamp sets from the first project, swapping out a few from Timeless Textures and adding extra images from the Accented Blooms.  The first layout has been stamped in a "t" pattern, the second in a "c" shape starting and ending on the right hand side. Don't be afraid to stamp over previously stamped images for added depth. The wavey image stamp from Artisan Textures was great for this technique and used heavily on this set.

No DSP was harmed in the making of these projects lol. For those that follow my work/blog, will know I am not a big user of DSP and will always try to find a way to complete challenges with just stamps, ink and matching card. However, I did just order three packs of stunning DSP from the new catalogue, so time will tell if I can use it or will struggle like usual and start a DSP collection in a dedicated corner of my crafty space.

Be sure to hop all the way through for some amazing inspiration. If you get lost anywhere along the way, just click on the participant list provided at the bottom of each blog, to get you back on track. Enjoy the inspiration and creativity xx

It's challenge time at Just Add Ink and this week's fun challenge is: Just Choose Two - Spots, Splatters or Speckles.

I chose to use the new Accented Blooms stamp set. It's a fabulous stamp set if you love floral's and like to colour. I have used Stampin' Blends to colour the stamped image on this card.

The stamped and coloured image has been fussy cut and then adhered to a water coloured background. The Blushing Bride ink was splattered and speckled on to Shimmery White card using an Aqua Painter. I also managed to throw in some "dots' with the teeny bit of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon tucked behind the fussy cut image.

Such a fun and easy challenge to play along with. Why not join us? You can add your creation using this weeks challenge theme to the JUST ADD INK Gallery here. Be sure to check out all the Design Teams absolutely stunning projects, you are in for a thrill.

Until next time, stay crafty

Stampin' Up! Accented Blooms

Good Day Crafty Friends

Hope you are having a great day. I have a few cards to share today but before I do I wanted to share a really nifty item available in the new Annual Catalogue. I absolutely adore how this product has been packaged, it is the perfect gift for family and friends from a crafter, or for those starting their card making journey who may not own a huge amount of card making items.

The gorgeous Darling Label Punch Box comes packaged in a stunning Tin along with the Darling Label Punch, 6 piece Stamp Set, Stamping Block and Two Classic Stampin' Spots in Night of Navy and Grapefruit Grove. All that needs to be added is card, paper, envelopes and adhesive. Fantastic Keepsake Kit for Birthday or Christmas Gifts. To find this item in the Stampin' Up! Shop click on the image below.

One of my favourite stamp sets that I was able to get my hands on during pre-order is Accented Blooms. There is one large floral image along with a few smaller detailed stamps and sentiments plus two large sentiments that also coordinate with the Tailored Tag Punch.

All three cards images have been stamped in Momento Tuxedo Ink and coloured using Stampin' Blends. The little heart stitched die is also another favourite - made using the Stitched Labels Framelits.

The Thank You sentiment has been stamped onto scrap Whisper White card, fussy cut and then adhered to the stamped card base with dimensionals. A few Grapefruit Grove Faceted Dots have also been added to finish off the card.

For the second card, the colours and sentiments have been changed and strips of black card added to the sides. Before adhering the sentiment to the card front, some Black and White Bakers Twine was added.

For the final card, the large stamped floral image has been fussy cut along the bottom and right hand side. Using Tombow, the fussy cut panel has been adhered to a card front with some new Blueberry Bushel In Colour DSP. This DSP has dots on one side and these stunning stripes on the other. It is also available in all the colour families.

I cannot wait to get my hands on all the pretties from the new Annual Catalogue that were not available for pre-order.  There are two amazing bundles which I will be offering a Stamp by Mail kit for over the coming months. There will be three options for each, including stamps and dies, components to make cards and PDF instructions. Keep an eye out here or on my Facebook account for further information coming soon.

Just Add Ink #410 - Inspiration - Stitched All Around

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Welcome to this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge #410 - Just Add Inspiration. Can you believe we are almost half way through the year already? And, can you believe this is my 200th post!! Wahoo to me. Not bad considering I stared my blog in February last year and didn't know how to enter challenges or blog hop! My oh my how times have changed lol. I even put on my girl panties today and sent off my application for the Stampin' Up! 2019 Artisan Team!

Anywho, enough about me - lets get back to the Challenge. The Just Add Ink Design Team have the most delicious inspiration picture for you to play along with this week. Wish my bedroom was as bright and colourful as the one below - don't think Hubby would appreciate it though, he may think its a tad too girlie......no?

https://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/2018/05/just-add-ink-410inspiration.html

I have two cards to share today. For the first card, I picked a few of the colours from the inspiration picture to create the cards background panels - Flirty Flamingo, Pineapple Punch, Pool Party and Grapefruit Grove.

I added a few die cuts created using the new Stitched All Around Framelits. White Bakers Twine has been threaded through the circular die cut, tied off to the left in a bow. Pineapple Punch ribbon has been placed on top of the Bermuda Bay Banner and tucked underneath the sentiment is some Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.

My second card uses the new Accented Blooms stamp set. I wasn't going to order this set until later in the year, but I am so glad I didnt wait. It may just be one of my new favies.

Onto shimmery White card, I splashed some Pineapple Punch and Lemon Lime Twist inks with an Aqua Painter. The Accented Blooms stamp was inked in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured using Stampin' Blends. I have fussy cut and raised the image on foam strips.

The border stamp from Stitched All Around has been stamped onto Whisper White and fussy cut. A Gold Foil banner and Doily were tucked under the stamped images to finish off the card.

The Design Team at Just Add Ink have created some absolute stunners to inspire you. Be sure to check them all out - there are a few sneak peaks of new products and just all round amazingly beautiful projects.

We would love for you to play along with us. Create a project using the Inspiration Picture posted above, then add your project to the Just Add Ink Challenge #410 gallery here.
