Petal Palette & Amazing You Thinlits

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Hope you are having a fabulous day.

A quick post today to share two cards I created recently using two of my current favourite items from the Sale-a-bration and Occasions Catalogues. The Amazing You Thinlits are so versatile and I just adore the font used for the "amazing" die. These are also carrying through to next years Annual Catalogue so expect to see many more cards using these dies lol

I have a thing for Background Stamps and the Diagonal Stripe is currently one of my most heavily used. I adore Black and White stripes and using colour can change the effect quite dramatically.

The roses have been made using the Thinlits from the Cake Soiree Bundle. Some Shimmery White card has been water coloured using Powder Pink, Melon Mambo and Berry Burst. From this I have die cut the roses. The die cuts have then been adhered to Power Pink card and fussy cut down.

The Diagonal Stripe background stamp has been inked using Crumb Cake and lines the side of the card base. Before adhering the card front to the base I have adhered a thin strip of silver glitter card using Tombow.

The leaves have been die cut using the May Flowers Thinlits. Lemon Lime twist and Pear Pizzaz were smooshed onto some shimmery white card.
The splatters were made using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (now retired but never leaving my collection lol)

Just Add Ink #396 - Add A Sketch

Hello Crafty Friends,

Hope you are having a fabulous day, mine was marvellously productive, both in and out of the craft room. I managed to smash out a few challenge cards while ticking off lists of recipients deserving a handmade card. Win-Win.

Speaking of challenges, it’s challenge time over at Just Add Ink and this week we have a fun sketch to play along with.

Image may contain: text

My daughter and her friends had recently received their University Acceptance notifications, so I needed to make a few cards that were easy and fast to replicate. I am so excited for them all, with Orientation for most of them starting next week (This extra lucky Mum has even been invited to hang with said daughter on  Day2!!!)

Anywho, onto my card lol

I have used a Whisper White card base then added a layer of Lemon Lime Twist. Using the Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp, I have applied Black Momento ink and stamped onto Whisper White card. Before adhering diagonal background to the Lemon Lime layer - I wrapped some white bakers twine around the bottom.

The next layer of whisper white card has been stamped with a splatter stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set using Black Momento Ink. The Petal Palette bouquet image was also stamped in the centre of the panel and then again on some scrap whisper white.

The base leaves have been coloured using a Lemon Lime Twist colouring pencil. The Flowers (stamped on scrap) were coloured using So Saffron and the Colour Lifter Stampin' Blends. The coloured flowers were fussy cut ( I don't have the die's......yet) and placed over the stamped image using mini dimensionals.

To finish off the card I added a sentiment from the Colour Me Happy Stamp Set, white heat embossed on So Saffron Card.

I hope you get time to play along with us this week. You can add your card to the gallery here. Also, be sure to check out all the stunning and amazing creations the Design Team have made.

Until next time, stay crafty

Lots of Happy Stamp Set

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have been on a blogging mission this morning. This post is my tenth in a production line of creativity. I have been lucky enough to have an enormous crafting session in the studio recently. During this time I designed and created 25 cards - not including any for the Design Teams  I am on. These were all just free flowing, no limits, colour schemes or themes to adhere to.

This one was created using 'extras' left over from previous projects. I often do this, just pull a whole heap of elements together and hope they work lol

The card front has been splattered with Early Espresso ink and then attached to the Whisper White card base. A stitched circle was cut from the Wood Textures DSP and used for the central focus point. To this I added a large letter "O". The Lots of Happy stamp set has been inked in Black Momento and coloured using Stampin' Blends and the Lemon Lime Twist water colour pencil from the Lots of Happy kit. Also from the kit, some Lemon Lime Twist ombré ribbon was tucked under the Wood Circle. The Happy Birthday sentiment from Party Pandas has been white embossed on Black card.

The second card in todays post also uses the Wood Textures DSP. I was so late to the party with this DSP, I honestly thought I could live without it but alas it appears that is not so. Its so versatile.

I have layered the DSP over some Kraft and then Black card stock before adhering to a Sahara Sand card base. I have stamped some whisper white card with the Diagonal Stripe Background stamp and cut a piece to place across the centre of the card.

The floral bouquet from the Lots of Happy stamp set were stamped in opposite corners and then coloured using SU Blends and Lemon Lime Twist Water Colour Pencil. Next, the sentiment was stamped in the centre. Placing a stitched circle framelit over the sentiment I partially die cut both ends so that the floral images were not fully cut with the framelit. Remove from big shot and fussy cut the remainder of the floral images.

A layer of Black card was placed behind the sentiment circle and a few die cut foliage elements were adhered behind the floral images.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you had time to get into your crafty space and create something you enjoy doing. Until next time, stay awesome
