Sincerely Santa Outside the Project Kit

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Hope you are having a great week. I have had the most wonderful mini vacation, recharging the batteries while spending some quality time with my better half. Before we left I did have time to play with the goodies that arrived in my BBB.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin' Up!, Sincerely Santa Kit, Christmas Gift Tags,

One of gorgeous items that I reached for first was the Sincerly Santa Project Kit (dang you, you fine looking tin....you know I only brought this kit for the Tin!!) However, once I opened it and started to unpack the goodies from within, it began to feel like the Tardis, there was so much crafting goodness in one little tin, I began to get excited at all the options - ribbons, embellishments galore and sparkly stuff.

Stampin' Up!, Sincerely Santa Kit, Christmas Gift Tags,

I didn't get the coordinating stamp set (why, oh why?) thinking I could manage by pulling a sentiment from other Christmas themed stamp sets.

Stampin' Up!, Sincerely Santa Kit, Christmas Gift Tags,

I decorated one of the Bakers Boxes and filled it with completed tags. Seeing, I am keeping the Tin, I am making a few of these to gift to friends and family with tags inside.

The tags below have been altered to the instructions given with the Kit. I like to swap and change things around a bit, seen here with the three different tags below.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - First Frost Stamp Set

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Welcome to October's Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. This month we are featuring the stunning First Frost Stamp Set. This was one of the first sets to hit my wish list when the Holiday Catalogue was released, I absolutely adore the water colour washed images.

For this months challenge I created a gift box and a couple of cards. All the cards have a whisper white card base. The Gift Box has a Blushing Bride base with a Whisper White Lid.

First Frost Stamp Set, Floral Card, Gift Packaging, Stampin Up, Stamping Sunday Blog Hop,

The Gift Box Lid has been stamped in Highland Heather, Soft Sea Foam, Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo.

The first card has panels of Soft Sea Foam, Powder Pink and Tropical Escape DSP. The images from Floral Frames have been stamped with Memento Tuxedo onto Whisper White and die cut. These have been mixed with the images from the First Frost stamp set and sentiment from Painted Glass.

The second card has a card front that uses a similar floral display as the Gift Box, stamped in similar colours just more vividly by stamping the images a few times using my Stamparatus.

The centered panel has been raised using white fun foam and then adhered to the card base with Tombow. This allows a little bit of wiggle room, as I eyeball everything when it comes to placement, and I find things with height can be deceiving when trying to get them straight.

The third card is bright and colourful one. I have a whole pack of these gorgeous Coloured Doilies that I wanted to needed to stop hoarding and start using. The inspiration for this card was the Coastal Cabana Doily. I started by cutting one in half and adding bits and pieces until I was happy. A layer of Coastal Cabana card has been used to break up the white layers and coordinate with the doily.

The sentiment from Follow Your Dreams stamp set has been adhered with foam strips for lots of height. To finish the card, a few Grapefruit Grove Faceted Dots have been added.

The last card was fairly quick and simple and probably my favourite of the four. The card front is a piece of whisper white card ripped on an angle and stamped with the sentiment from Floral Frames. A piece of Sahara Sand card was embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder and adhered to the whisper white card base with Tombow.

The two flowers from First Frost stamp set were inked in Berry Burst and Melon Mambo. The rest of the images have been stamped in Soft Sea Foam and Memento Tuxedo inks. The floral elements were adhered to a banner created from Sahara Sand card with dimensionals. To finish the card some Linen Twine was added and a few Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.

The Gift Box is a fantastic size, this one holds a mini tea cup candle and its saucer with room for some choccies around the sides.

Just Add Ink #430 - Inspiration - Falling Flowers

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Welcome to this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge #430. Rochelle has chosen an absolutely gorgeous picture to inspire your creativity this week. I love Inspiration challenges, you can take any element from the challenge photo and use it to create a card.

Image may contain: flower and text

I am unsure if this happens to anyone else, but I often find myself reaching for the most recent stamp set that I have added to my collection, then thinking ....what about all the others? You have made loads of cards recently with "that set". If you don't ink up some of the others you may as well get rid of them....say whaaaattt???!!!Noooooo, LOL. So for today's creation I pulled out an oldie but a favie - Falling Flowers.

I chose to use the pastel colours from the Inspiration picture and create a little floral display to send some Birthday wishes.

The Whisper White card base has a layer of Sahara Sand then the Whisper White card front. I was going to emboss the card front but totally forgot and just starting sticking stuff down!

I have used some DSP offcuts (Tropical Escape DSP Pack)  that were left over from a previous project - no, I couldn't throw away those tiny pieces of pink and white dotty paper :) I know I know LOL

The images from Falling Flowers stamp set have been inked and stamped onto the same coloured card stock using Soft Sea Foam, Blushing Bride and Pool Party. The large detailed floral thinlit from the coordinating Framelits has been die cut in Sahara Sand, cut in half and adhered under the strip of DSP with Tombow.

The black and white stamped images are from the Floral Frames stamp set. I kept them plain to tie in with the white heat embossed sentiment and Bee.

To finish the card I added a few artisan pearls and some linen thread attached with a staple at the top of the card.

Be sure to stop by all the Just Add Ink Design Team members blogs for more inspiration with this weeks Just Add Texture challenge . We would love for you and your crafty friends to play along, if you have a blog you can add your card to the Just Add Ink gallery here. Don't have your own blog? No problem! Just send us an email to just-add-ink@hotmail.com with a photo attachment. We'll upload it to our challenge entry blog.

Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time, stay awesome and stay crafty
