Colour INKspiration #35

Good Day Crafty Friends

Welcome to Colour INKspiration #35. Stampin' Up! ® has just had a major colour revamp so to start off the new catalogue year at Colour INKspiration we've decided to feature a Colour Collection for the first challenge each month (2nd Wednesday) until we have showcased them all! The second challenge in the month (4th Wednesday) will be a Pinterest inspired pic as per usual just to mix it up a bit.

No automatic alt text available.

This month we are starting off with the NEUTRALS COLLECTION and you can choose any 3 colours from that range for your challenge project. We are also changing the rules about what else you can add to the mix; essentially just the Basics - Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black as well as metallics.

rooted in nature, stampin up, wood textures DSP, stitched labels framelits

For my card I have used Night of Navy, Whisper White, Sahara Sand and Early Espresso. I adore trees in real life, they are so majestic and like flowers there are so many varieties. When I saw the Rooted in Nature Bundle at Onstage I knew it was going to be a must have. I was so stoked it made the pre-order list.

The main tree image has been White Heat Embossed on Vellum, die cut and adhered to a large Sahara Sand Circle. The large frame from the Stitched Labels Framelits has been die cut in Whisper White and then some Linen Twine added to both ends of the die cut.

The card background has been created by embossing the leaves onto Early Espresso card. The Whisper White layer has been die cut in exactly the same position as the embossed leaves so they are exposed when layered.

A panel of Wood Textures DSP with a layer of Early Espresso underneath was adhered to the top of the Whisper White. The sentiment from Floral Phrases has been Gold Heat Embossed onto Night of Navy card, trimmed on the ends and adhered over the vellum tree with mini dimensionals. A few Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins in Sahara Sand were adhered to finish off the card.
