Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team March Blog Hop. This month the talented Design Team are showcasing the CLASSIC GARAGE SUITE. This amazing suite of products can be found on pages 42 & 43 of the Occasions Catalogue.
As soon as I saw the Geared Up Garage Suite I knew many of the components would make a great fancy fold card. The DSP Pack is just totally awesome, especially if you have a mechanic or car enthusiast in the family. There are steering wheels, keys, road signs, classic cars and motorbikes. Among the 48 sheets there is also a selection of brightly coloured papers in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red which makes for some bright, fun masculine themed creations.
There are 10 cling stamps in the Geared Up Garage Stamp Set, one of which is a really cool oil stain that looks fabulous as a "background splash" element when stamped in light pastel colours with die cuts placed over the top.
The first project I have to share with you today is a bridge fold card. My hubby has quite an extensive collection of tools that he inherited from his father. They are stored in a stacking tool chest which I tried to recreate in the centre of this card. A stamped tool box and fussy cut steering wheel have been added to the "top of the tool chest" with a few of the Classic Garage Metal Elements hanging on the "back wall" behind.
Both sentiments have been Silver Heat Embossed and die cut using the Garage Gear Thinlits. A few more die cuts and fussy cut DSP images were added to the "floor" of the Fancy Fold, ensuring there is enough room to fit an envelope before adhering permanently with mini dimensionals.

The Garage Gears Thinlits Dies are such a versatile addition to this suite, the cogs/gears thinlit is simply stunning, especially when cut from Foil Sheets, PLUS it also die cuts the gears image in the DSP! I hear cheering from the crafter's who are not fans of fussy cutting.
The next card I have to share was inspired by a few versions of this type of card I have seen floating about on the internet - so this is not my original idea but such a cool one I had to case it.
A piece of DSP has been embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and then slits made with a craft knife. I applied black ink to the pieces that are curled so that it tied in with the layer of black card stock exposed in the gap. I quickly coloured the stamped Car image with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends and tucked it into the gap using mini dimensionals.
The next card I have to share was inspired by a few versions of this type of card I have seen floating about on the internet - so this is not my original idea but such a cool one I had to case it.

The DSP Pack has some fun, car themed papers with a couple being solely images of classic cars and motorbikes. I love these images and have fussy cut a few as the focal point for the remainder of the cards I have to share today.
You guessed it. Car loving Hubby, got a Geared Up Garage card for Valentine's Day and He absolutely loved it. Simply done with two panels of DSP then the gears die cut laid over the top before adhering a die cut circle and then the other layered elements.
I loved the colour combination of the Tranquil Tide and Basic Grey DSP and was totally smitten with the nuts and bolts pattern in the next card. A silver heat embossed sentiment tied in perfectly with the gear thinlit tucked behind the fussy cut classic car image.
For the final card I wanted to feature another piece of the DSP, this time with a little POW with some brights colours, so chose Crushed Curry which is one of three colours that are offered in the coordinating card stock pack along with Tranquil Tide and Basic Grey.
