Sunday Stamping Blog Hop - Sea of Textures

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Perth, Australia. Hope you have had a wonderful weekend. You may have arrived here having just visited super talented, Sara Levin - wasn't her creations stunning!

This month the Design Team are showcasing the Sea of Textures stamp set. I was given this set for my Onstage Display Board in April, unfortunately I haven gotten around to purchasing the matching dies so I have fussy cut that little 'sucker' - the Octopus.

I whipped up three projects for this months blog hop - A scrap page, a gift tag and landscape card. All three creations use the same colour scheme - Coastal Cabana, Whisper White and Black.

The card uses a variety of stitched shapes along with stamped and plain card panels. The stamped panel has been created using the Artisan Textures and Tabs for Everything stamp sets in Coastal Cabana and Black Archival ink. The Octopus from Sea of Textures has been stamped in Coastal Cabana with Black ink applied sparingly around the tentacles and head with a sponge dauber. To finish the card a few Black Faceted Dots and a Bakers Twine Bow have been added.

The A4 lay out has been stamped using images from Sea of Textures, Tabs for Everything, Artisan Textures, sentiments from Rooted in Nature, Accented Blooms and Sea of Textures. Multiple die cuts have been added created using the new Stitched Labels Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Celebrate You Thinlits and Petals & More Thinlits.

The gift tag has been created using the same stamp sets as the A4 layout. Bakers Twine has been wrapped around the tag and two stitched heart die cuts added to the ends. Some Pool Party ribbon matched the colours of the tag nicely so I went with it.
