Tags & Tidings Christmas Card

Good Day Crafty Friends,

I have a quick post to share with you today.....one I forgot to post while I was on holiday!! I am pretty sure I posted it on Instagram and hence why I thought I had shared it already.

The Tags and Tidings stamp set has sixteen images on the one stamp. It has been designed to coordinate with the Christmas Tags Thinlits to die cut all those images into gorgeous little Christmas gift tags. I have used it as a background, inspired by the picture above.

Jaxx Crafty Creations, Stampin' Up!, Tags & Tidings, Christmas Card, Heat Embossing, Petal and More Thinlits, Hexagons Embossing Folder,

This card uses one of the Silver Foil Edged card bases which can be found on page 11 of the Holiday Catalogue. It has matching Silver Foil Edged envelopes and is also available in Gold.

A piece of Real Red card stock has been Silver Heat Embossed with the Tags and Tiding stamp set. To this a die cut scalloped circle was added, this was embossed using the Hexagon embossing folder and adhered with Tombow.

The Santa Claus image from Signs of Santa stamp set has been coloured using Stampin' Blends and then fussy cut (although there are coordinating dies available) Before adhering the Santa image with dimensionals I added a Silver Foil border die cut, made using a thinlit from the Petals & More Thinlits.

Below is a product list of all the items used to create this card. Click on the product images to be taken to my Online Store.

Embossing & Sponging

Hello Crafty Friends,

Hope you are having a great day. I meant to post this yesterday, but Stampin'Up! released the new Occasions catalogue for Demonstrators to view (one of the perks of being a demo is viewing catalogues and products prior to general release) And well, to say it's amazing is an understatement!

I spent the day planning my wish list - I would buy the whole thing if I won lotto tonight, but this didn't happen (kicks couch) so it's back to wrangling the wish list and trying to squeeze more into my budget.

Anywho, I do have a couple of cards I wanted to share.

They are basic cards with Thick Whisper White Card bases, sponged, cut into two panels. One panel is embossed with the Hexagons Embossing Folder, the other panel is heat embossed with white embossing powder.

This card below is sponged using Real Red, Melon Mambo, Berry Burst and Rich Razzleberry. The pineapple image is from the Pop of Paradise stamp set, the palm frond and sentiment is from Fabulous Flamingo stamp set, all heat embossed using white embossing powder.

This card has been sponged using Tranquil Tide, Bermuda Bay and Marina Mist inks. The snowflakes and sentiment are from the Colourful Seasons stamp set, embossed with white embossing powder.

The panels were applied to the card base using tombow.  I post a lot of my cards, for those not accompanying gifts, I try to minimise layers and embellishments. These cards are perfect, not too thick and nothing to get caught up on at the postal sorting depot.

Okay, it's back to studying the catalogue. Until next time, stay awesome

Happy Birthday Gorgeous - You Make Me Smile

Good Day Crafty Friends

Our team of crafters had a shoe box swap recently - I love these events!!! So fun to catch up with my Stampin' Sisters, eat some yummy homemade deliciousness, make each other's cards while chatting over coffee or tea - perhaps a dance to Tina Turners Nutbush...more card making and chatting.

We all choose a card to make and then prepare ten lots of everything required to make our chosen card. It's so much fun! Like musical chairs, we move from station to station creating ten cards of our choice from the selection team members have put together.

A fairly simple card using four colours - the new in colour Berry Burst, Sahara Sand, Powder Pink and Whisper White.

The floral images are from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous and Jar of Love stamp sets. The sentiment "You make me smile" is from the Colourful Seasons set.

The Whisper White card front was stamped using Sahara Sand ink and the little "nut" image, then a strip of Sahara Sand cardstock that was embossed with the Hexagons Embossing Folder and adhered over the top. The Whisper White circle was die cut using the Layering Circle Framelits which was added to a Scalloped edge layer in Berry Burst card stock.

The flowers from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set are a two step stamp - the outside was inked using Berry Burst and the inside using Powder Pink. These were stamped and fussy cut and then adhered to the card in various places using dimensionals.

The little leaf under the bigger flower is from Jar of Love and was inked using Sahara Sand and die cut using the matching dies for this bundle.

The Whisper White card front was adhered to a layer of Berry Burst card stock and then attached to a base of Sahara Sand.

Until next time, stay crafty x

Birthday Delivery Stamp Set - Onstage Perth

Good Day Crafty Friends

Today I would like to share a very quick and easy card I made because I needed to crack open a stamp set I won at SU Perth On Stage.

The stamp set is called Birthday Delivery and is part of an amazing bundle which includes Framelits that cut the stamped images but also images on the gorgeous DSP.

My amazingly talented upline Sarah Klass presented the Birthday Deliveries suite on the day and her creations were stunning! She used the Framelits and DSP to cut toppers for Cupcakes, showed a jaw dropping banner for Birthday Party decorations, and loads of ideas for cards and other party décor.

I have used Whisper White, Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand Cardstock with the Hexagons TIEF and a Doily. I quickly stitched the outside of the Sahara Sand layer with the trusty sewing machine. The girl image was stamped in Archival Black on Shimmery White card stock and water coloured using an aqua painter and Pink Pirouette ink. I fussy cut the image and adhered her to the oval splattered piece with foam strips with the sentiment from Birthday Blooms.

I have a few ideas for cards using the other images in the stamp set and can't wait to get the matching Framelits and coordinating DSP. Till next time xx

Mediterranean Moments & Beautiful You

Good Day Crafty Friends,

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE The Mediterranean Moments stamp set, it was inspired by a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Million Sales Achiever - Susan Nygaard. The stunning set consists of four rubber scenery stamps depicting beautiful street scenes and is available in the 2017 Occasions catalogue.

I couldn't wait to get this set and I wasn't disappointed! Plus the new Stampin' Up! Water Colour Pencils made it so easy to colour, I can see me needing a new pack soon as I can't stop using them. I masked the lady from the Beautiful You stamp set and then stamped over her with the largest stamp from Mediterranean Moments.

Love the scooter parked out the front!

The café scene is just adorable and not to mention makes a quick and easy card - die cut using circle framelits with a scalloped border die from the same set, a delicate white doily behind it, placed on a base of Sahara Sand cardstock put through the Big Shot with the Brick Wall TEIF.

The scooter stamp looks amazing stamped and coloured in white craft ink - my favie so far. Two strips of black card stock were glued to the Sahara Sand cardstock and then I ran it through the Big Shot using the amazing Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder. This card is in an envelope as we speak and hopefully about to hit my lovely friends letterbox sometime soon. She and her Hubby are going on a three month trip to Europe for her sisters wedding. I love being able to make cards that are relevant to the events in my life and show the person receiving the card that I was thinking of them when I made it.

Hope my cards inspire you to get into your craft space and create something you love for someone you love.
Happy Crafting xx
