Be Inspired Blog Hop - Perennial Essence

Good Day Crafty Friends
No photo description available.
Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop for May. I am so excited to be hopping with the crew this month as we have a few new Design Team members who I know are going to blow your socks off with their creations.

You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Western Australia. If you are following the hop, you may have arrived here having just visited Monica Gale. If you are just joining us, grab a comfy seat and be sure to hop all the way through for amazing idea's and inspiring projects shared by the Be Inspired Design Team using this month's theme ANYTHING GOES.

I was so excited to have the opportunity to create with some new item while being able to mix them with a some of my favourite retiring products. The Floral Essence stamp set (item #149450)  and Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (item #149100) will be available from the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue from June 4th.

I have added a few vellum die cuts using my favourite foliage dies from Floral Frames and the copper foil die cut labels that the sentiments have been stamped onto are from the Everything is Rosy Product Medley.  Everything else that I have used to create this collection is available in the new Catalogue.

The Perennial Essence DSP is seriously gorgeous and will make stunning gift bags and decor pieces, but I found it extremely hard to cut up and then create something with it. I decided to make some frames for the two cards using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits.

The floral images from Floral Essence have been stamped in Pineapple Punch with Grapefruit Grove applied to the centre with a sponge dauber.

The leaf stamp was borrowed from the Rooted in Nature Stamp set. All images were fussy cut and applied to the card with dimensionals.

The pillow boxes (item #147018) are perfect for those little gifts that can be awkward to wrap, plus I love decorating the pillow boxes, so any excuse lol. The fern leaf tucked behind the flower is from the Daisy Lane Stamp Set (item #149325) has been stamped in Granny Apple Green and fussy cut. The sentiment has been stamped in Sahara Sand ink onto a whisper white die cut created with the Stitched Labels Framelits.

That's it from me, crafty friends. Thanks so much for stopping by today. The Be Inspired Design Team appreciate the time you have invested to visit our blogs today, Thank You. Up next in this months Be Inspired Blog Hop is super talented Cathy Caines.

Colour INKspiration #53

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Image may contain: text

Welcome to Colour INKspiration Challenge #53 Blog Hop. We have the most delightful colour combination for you to play along with this fortnight - Petal Pink, Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy. You can also add in some metallic s in the form of gold or silver.

No photo description available.

I have used four of the five challenge colours for my card - omitting Bermuda Bay.

Starting with some of the Petal Pink DSP from the Floral Romance Specialty DSP Pack. The lace detail in this DSP is so awesome, photo's really do it no justice whatsoever.

My card uses a combination of First Floral and Petal Palette stamp sets, along with the large die cut made with the Stitched labels Framelits.

To finish the card I added a few Artisan Pearls in Mint Macaron to tie in with the heat embossed sentiment on the Mint Macron card stock.

Sorry to keep this post so short and sweet, but as we go live with this Hop I am probably eating dinner with a few of the Colour Inkspiration Design Team in a restaurant in Auckland, New Zealand!!! How exciting is that!!! We are heading to the biannual Stampin' Up! event - Onstage Live. Keep an eye on the Design Team members social media accounts for up to date sharing from our three day event. We get to see and play with all the new goodies that are due to arrive with the release of the new Annual Catalogue. And, fingers crossed, I get to meet the founder and CEO of Stampin' Up!, Shelley and her daughter Sara and maybe get a sneaky selfie!!

INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by hopping around to see what all of the Colour INKspiration Crew have to show you. Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Holiday Catalogue Favourites

Good Day Crafty Friends,

No automatic alt text available.

Welcome to the last Stamping Sunday Blog Hop for 2018. This month we are featuring our favourite item from the Holiday Catalogue. I have chosen the very summery and non traditional So Santa Stamp Set as these kind of images are ever so popular in the South Pacific, with Christmas falling in the middle of our Summer.

Our local fire brigade volunteers a fire truck so Santa and his helpers visit every house on Christmas morning, with his shorts and thongs, bellowing Merry Christmas as he throws lollies to all the neighbourhood kids. Local surfers will sport a Santa Hat on Christmas Day if there are waves to ride, in fact its not unusual to see a sea of red hats down any beach in Australia on Chrissy Day.

I decided to use that cute little surfing Santa to create a bauble for our Christmas Tree along with four cards in four different colours.

The dome has a screw bottom so all I had to do was stamp, colour and fussy cut the Santa image with a little tab on the bottom so I could adhere him to the plastic dome with a few glue dots. The Palm  tree was made with the Tropical Chic Thinlits and some Wood texture DSP.  Some beautiful white Singleton Beach sand has been added to the bottom before screwing together.

All four cards are exactly the same design, I have just changed the colours of DSP and inks used. The sponged background has been completed using Shimmery White card and then adhered to the back of a "photo frame". The Photo Frame is easy to make, just cut a square from the top portion of a rectangular die cut.

The card front has been die cut with the "x" border from the Stitched Labels Framelits in a zig zag pattern. This was then adhered to the whisper white card base. A layer of craft foam has been added to the back of the "photo frame" as these are being posted, the craft foam prevents any squishing or dents.

The frangipani flower from Tropical Chic was stamped in Pineapple Punch for all four cards, with the leaves of each card changing to coordinate with the DSP and coloured sponging.

The four colours used for the set of cards are Flirty Flamingo, Grapefruit Grove, Blueberry Bushel and Highland Heather.

Christmas Memories & More Card Pack - Santa's Workshop

Hello Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are having a fabulous day and perhaps have even managed to squeeze in a bit of crafting time :)  I was lucky enough to spend a few hours in my craft studio today after catching up on what seemed like a never ending pile of washing.

I have a few more cards to share with you today that I made during a recent session using the Santa's Workshop Memories & More Card Pack. If you would like to see the first few cards from the batch you can do by clicking here.

Card 3

The card also uses the cute Mrs Claus image from the Signs of Santa stamp set.  I have started this card with a DSP panel adhered to a Whisper White card base. The DSP is a polka dotted blushing bride sheet from the Tropical Chic 6"x 6"DSP Pack.

One of the smaller sized cards from the Card Pack was used in the centre of the White card front. To this a panel of striped green card (chopped from the end of one of the larger M&M cards) was lined with Blushing Bride card before adhering to the card front.

Mrs Claus has been stamped and coloured using Stampin' Blends, then adhered to a Blushing Bride detailed frame created using the Stitched Labels Framelits. To finish the card, a silver foil snowflake  and holly sticker have been added with Tombow and the sentiment sticker with mini dimensionals.

Card 4

Using two different Memories & More cards this creation also has Soft Sea Foam and Blushing Bride card stock. The panels have been lined with Blushing Bride before adhering to the Soft Sea Foam card front. From the Holly M&M card a circle die cut has been layered over the tree panel with Tombow.

A piece of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon has been layered in folds under the sentiment using Double sided adhesive. The smaller sentiments have been stamped in Real Red and Die cut using the Stitched Labels Framelits.  The larger sentiment has been fussy cut from one of the large Santa's Workshop Memories & More Cards. To finish the card I added a Bakers Twine bow and a Candy Cane Sticker.

Santa's Workshop Pocket Card - AddINKtive Designs

Hello Crafty Friends,

Hope you are having a great day. I have a super cute Pocket Card to share with you today, which has been created with the Santa's Workshop Memories and More card pack.

I absolutely love making Pocket Cards, they are interactive, have two surfaces to decorate and are perfect for posting. You can find the tutorial for this style of Pocket Card over at AddINKtive Designs here. Just change out the DSP aspect and replace with this adorable M&M card.

The Pocket Card base was created from Basic Black cardstock using the tutorial mentioned above. To the Pocket Base, the large Santa card was trimmed down slightly and adhered with Tombow. Using one of the smaller Memories and More cards, die cut the large detailed framelit from the Stitched Labels Framelits.

The insert has been decorated with a strip of Pool Party card stock under a thin panel of Washi Tape. The sentiment from the First Frost stamp set has been inked in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and a little Elf adhered with mini dimensionals.

I also decorated one of the gable boxes with some elements from the Santa's Workshop Memories & More card pack. The gable boxes are simply stunning and with a little shredded paper and a snack bottle of Doterra Oil, they make the perfect quick and easy gifts for family and friends.
