AddINKtive Designs Team June Projects

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Hope you are well. I have a few creations to share with you today, all designed for this months AddINKtive Designs Team Monthly Highlights.

I totally love being part of this crazy talented Design Team, and look forward to all the creative projects the Ladies at AddINKtive Designs make each month. We also have very some very talented new additions to the AddINKtive Design Team family - Welcome to Nicole Wilson, Kim Oliver, Jerim Dickins and Katrina Duffell. If you don't already follow them be sure to look up their blogs as they are all super creative and inspiring.

I have made two pocket cards and a shadow box card using all new products from the Annual Catalogue. The options for decorating Pocket Cards are endless and I love that there are two surfaces to decorate. You can decorate the Belly Band with embellishments like the first sample or add a card front to the Pocket Card and go from there. If you would like to make one of these types of cards, visit the AddINKtive Designs Tutorial Shop here.

Floral Frames, Stampin Up, SU cards, Foliage Frame Framelits

The first pocket card uses the gorgeous Floral Frames stamp set. I have fussy cut the large stamped image after colouring. The smaller stamped floral images were coloured and die cut using the coordinating Foliage Frame Framelits. From whisper white card, the large frame in the Stitched Labels Framelits was die cut and adhered to the black belly band with some bakers twine attached at either end. The stamped images were attached over the large frame and belly bend using a combination of Tombow and mini dimensionals.

The second pocket card uses the wonderfully versatile Tropical Chic Bundle. I have used Pineapple Punch, Granite Grey and Powder Pink inks for the stamped images along with card stock in Whisper White, Granite Grey, Pineapple Punch and Silver Foil.

The little arrows on the circular tab punch are from a dream catcher made using the Chase Your Dreams Framelits. Again, I have used the large frame created using the Stitched Labels Framelits for the base of the tropical arrangement. A stamped card front was attached to the Pocket card base, then the decorated belly band is slipped over the top. Don't forget to decorate the inside of your Pocket Cards or as my daughter says ' Don't forget to slip in a gift card' lol.

My third project uses one of my absolute favourite AddINKtive Designs tutorials - The Shadow Box card. It is incredibly easy to make and construct the base card and the options for decorating a limited to your creativity. You can find the tutorial for this card and so many other amazing fancy fold card designs here.

Colour Ink #36 Tropical Chic

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Welcome to this fortnight's Colour INKspiration Challenge #36. Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Western Australia. The Colour INKspiration Design Team have created some absolutely amazing cards to inspire you, so be sure to hop all the way through. We have a gorgeous inspiration picture and earthy colour scheme for you to play along with.

Image may contain: 1 person

I am not going fib, when I first saw this inspiration picture I was torn, I love the images but so not a fan of Crushed Curry or Soft Suede and immediately knew if I over thought it I would struggle. I knew I wanted to use the new Tropical Chic bundle but these colours didn't exactly scream tropical lol.

The card base has been stamped using Basic Grey ink stamped off along with Crushed Curry. The cluster base has been created using the new Foliage Frame Framelits cut in Whipser White card and then the Frangapani Flower has been inked using Crushed Curry ink.  The die cuts were created using the Tropical chic bundle from Soft Suede card

When I find a colour challenge a little tricky, due to colours not in my heavy used list,  then I often make a couple of cards. This way I have options and just in case some attempts are complete failure then I have something to fall back on.

Tropical Chic, Colour INKspiration Blog Challenge, Floral Frames, Foliage Frame Framelits, Stampin' Up!

The second card uses the large square framelit die cut from Soft Suede and adhered to a layer of Silver Foil card. Again the Basic Grey was stamped off for the Frangipani leaves and the border detail stamp applied to the bottom of the card front.  The celebrate you thinlits were used to die cut the words from Crushed Curry and Soft Suede card.

The third card didn't make the cut, what it did make was a screwed up ball in the rubbish bin LOL.

INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by hopping around to see what all of the Colour INKspiration Crew have to show you. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Follow Your Dreams with Bright DSP

Good Day Crafty Friends,

I have another set of cards to share today. I have been creating batches of cards in different colour schemes as not everyone loves Pink like I do. Plus, I love rainbows and card sets created in rainbow colours are always so impressive and shows admirers of your creations that the card can look different in different tones.

I have combined the Follow Your Dreams bundle with the new Brights DSP Pack to create these cards. These DSP Packs are available in all the colour families including the In Colours. One side has dots the other has these FABULOUS stripes.

Lemon Lime Twist.

The Artisan Textures stamp set was used to create the card fronts. The large dream catcher image was then stamped over the coloured texture stamps. On scrap whisper white the dream catcher was again stamped in Black ink and then die cut using the coordinating Chase Your Dreams Framelits. Before adhering the die cut dream catcher to the card front, a circle of corresponding coloured card stock was cut and placed behind the dream catcher.

The floral stamped image was coloured using Stampin' Blends. The card front was then adhered to a card base with a small panel of striped DSP from the Brights collection DSP Pack.

To finish the cards and to keep them simple I added a die cut 'dream' created using the Chase Your Dreams Framelits from Black card stock. Before adhering the word die cut I slipped in a silver foil feather.

Just Add Ink #414 Follow Your Dreams

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Hope you have had a great week. It's definitely winter in my neck of the woods, with temperatures dropping to single digits. Brrrrrr!!! As much as I am a Summery kind of gal, I do appreciate winter and rainy days as they are perfect for crafting lol.

Speaking of crafting,  I have finally made it back into my crafty space after a small hiatus, and just in time for this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add a Window/Frame. Yipee, as I had the perfect bundle in mind for this challenge - the new Follow Your Dreams bundle, which includes the Follow Your Dreams stamp set and Chase Your Dreams Framelits.

Image may contain: text

I decided to make a box frame and add it to front of a normal tent fold card. The Sahara Sand Box Frame has been lined with a brick wall embossed background that has also had a Blushing Bride Water Colour Wash applied once the embossing paste was dry.

I started with a Sahara Sand card base, to which I added a piece of the Tropical Escape DSP in Blushing Bride. Some White Bakers Twine was wrapped around the frame and the 'dream' die cut in Gold Foil card (made using the Chase Your Dream Framelits) was adhered over the Bakers Twine.

I have used the large circular and smaller dream catcher Thinlits from the new Follow Your Dreams Bundle. Die cut from Gold Foil card and layered on top of each other with Tombow. The floral bouquet image was stamped with Black Ink and coloured using Stampin' Blends.

Stitched & Dotty Tropical Chic

Good Day Crafty Friends,

I am back again with my favourite stamp set - Tropical Chic. I know I am bombarding you with posts at the minute, but its the first chance I have had to make it back into my crafty space after a week hiatus. Apologies, I am jamming them in while the visiting Mother In Law is busy and out of the house for the day.

tropical chic, stampin up, stitched all around, follow your dreams

I have used the cross stitch die from the Stitched All Around bundle to create the stitched background onto whisper white card. Before adhering to the card base I slipped in a panel of Lemon Lime Twist so this would show through the stitching lines. The images have been stamped in bright summery colours and adhered with Tombow and mini dimensionals.

The second card is another one of my "doodling stamping techniques". This time instead of adding drawn lines to my stamped images (like the leaves), I have added lots of dots to the Frangipani flowers.

It does alter the appearance quite dramatically but I really like it. It looks great teamed with the lines drawn on the leaves. I have also added stamped and fussy cut images from Jar of Love and Cake Soiree as I really like these two leafy images together.

Hope I have inspired you to get into your crafty space and have a play. Perhaps you will try adding dots to some of the images of stamp in your current collection.

Until next time, stay crafty

Tropical Chic Bundle with Floral Frames

Good Day Crafty Friends,

I have been creating like a crazy lady with the new Tropical Chic bundle, I just love it so much. I have been yearning for a tropical themed stamp set and this bundle is a doozy! Great choice of images and the Framelits are totally awesome and so versatile.

Hello Tropical Chic

Hello Crafty Friends,

Hope you are having a great day. I have been having a productive one and thought I would share a few quick and easy cards made using the fabulous new Tropical Chic bundle.

As the title suggests, this bundle has a tropical theme, with a Frangapani flower and loads of tropical leaves. The co coordinating framelits are really versatile with framelits that cut your stamped images and some of the images on the DSP. Plus there are also thinlits that make matching foliage die cuts.

The background of this set of cards have been embossed with the new Subtle Embossing Folder. The images were stamped using: Coastal Cabana, Pineapple Punch, Grapefruit Grove, Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Tempting Turquoise, Berry Burst and Granny Apple Green.

I love the new brights colour family so much I have been making batch of cards in different colours because not everyone loves pink (say what? lol) Coastal Cabana is definitely on the top of my favorite list.....and its not a red/pink tone!

And finally a Granny Apple Green version.

I will share the next set of cards in another post, keep an eye out for more inspiration using this stunning bundle along with some other new goodies that I got to unbox last week.

One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop - Lay it Out

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Welcome to the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop for June 2018. I am so super excited to be joining this team of talented Demonstrators as we share our creativity with monthly themed blog hops using Stampin' Up! products.
Image may contain: text

This month’s theme is "Lay it Out". Yay!! Something a little different and fun. I totally enjoyed this challenge as I don't often create Page Layouts, and ended up going a little overboard with two colour themed projects. While I had everything out it was easier to create two sets, also just incase I boo booed one,  there was a back up project lol.

Stitched All Around, Rooted in Nature, Artisan Textures, Stampin Up

There are literally so many stunning suites in the new Annual Catalogue, I have to admit I felt spoilt for choice when choosing what items to use for this challenge. As mentioned earlier, I have made a few sets - A Page Layout with matching card.

The first Page and Card use the bright and fun, Pineapple Punch teamed with Black & White. I have used a variety of stamps along with Archival Black & Pineapple Punch inks. A portion of both the Page and Card have also been lightly sponged.

stitched all around, rooted in nature, tabs for everything, artisan textures, stampin up

Its a very eclectic design created using a mix of stamps inked in Black Archival ink: Tabs for Everything, Artisan Textures, Timeless Textures, Rooted in Nature, Pick a Pennant and Stitched All Around.

And a mix of die cuts created using: Stitched Labels Framelits, Petal Palette Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits.
stitched all around, rooted in nature, tabs for everything, artisan textures, stampin up

The second set also includes a layout and matching card. This time swapping out the Pineapple Punch for Lemon Lime Twist - even though the photo's really do not do the LLT any justice.

stitched all around, rooted in nature, tabs for everything, artisan textures, stampin up

I have used almost the same stamp sets from the first project, swapping out a few from Timeless Textures and adding extra images from the Accented Blooms.  The first layout has been stamped in a "t" pattern, the second in a "c" shape starting and ending on the right hand side. Don't be afraid to stamp over previously stamped images for added depth. The wavey image stamp from Artisan Textures was great for this technique and used heavily on this set.

No DSP was harmed in the making of these projects lol. For those that follow my work/blog, will know I am not a big user of DSP and will always try to find a way to complete challenges with just stamps, ink and matching card. However, I did just order three packs of stunning DSP from the new catalogue, so time will tell if I can use it or will struggle like usual and start a DSP collection in a dedicated corner of my crafty space.

Be sure to hop all the way through for some amazing inspiration. If you get lost anywhere along the way, just click on the participant list provided at the bottom of each blog, to get you back on track. Enjoy the inspiration and creativity xx

Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time, stay crafty
