Colour INKspiration #33

Good Day Crafty Friends,

Welcome to this fortnights Colour INKspiration Challenge #33. You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Western Australia.  If you are following the Blog Hop you may have arrived here from my amazingly talented friend, Bronwyn Eastley. Wasn't her creation super adorable!! Be sure to follow the Hop all the way through to get some amazing inspiration on how the Design Team have used this fortnights colours.

The challenge colours are Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla and Sahara Sand.

I have never used Always Artichoke as a colour in any form, ink or card. And with this deep in my mind, I found it super hard to come up with something for this challenge. I knew I was over thinking it, so I went ahead and created a card using predominately Night of Navy and Very Vanilla with gold accents.

I have so much DSP that I need to stop crushing on and just use! I decided to make a start on decreasing that DSP stash by using some to create this card. I loved this DSP, but with a new catalogue just around the corner, I just cant keep it all. I have used it to line the panels of this Tri-Fold Card.

The front panel has an Oval window with  die cut Very Vanilla and Gold Foil foliage, created using the Petals and More Thinlits. The Thank You sentiment from the new Painted Glass stamp set has been Gold Heat Embossed on Vellum and tucked into the window, over the foliage.

If you look real hard in the next photograph you can see die cuts in Marina Mist, Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand, adhered to the inside panel. This is my cheeky addition to the card, to ensure all the challenge colours were used. The sentiment has been Gold Heat Embossed.

The edge of the inside panel has been decorated using the  Detailed Floral Thinlits, cut in Very Vanilla  and backed with Night of Navy. Gold Glitter Card strips were added to tie in with the other Gold accents on the front panel.

  1. WOW! This is awesome - even the teeny tiny bits of Artichoke! teehee. I love the die cut edging over the top of the navy, and the front cluster with the greeting is so gorgeous. You've done a great job with these colours - the gold highlights make it so very beautiful.
