Fresh Florals DSP - Fresh Fig

 Good Day

I am sharing another set of quick and easy cards today. The set of four cards use the new Fresh Floral's DSP in the new Fresh Fig colour. Ohhh its a lovely deep purple tone - sooo moody!

I used the sentiments from the watercolour words stamp set for all four cards. Whisper White Card Stock was used for the card base. Strips of 1.5" DSP were attached from each edge before adhering middle panel. Middle panel was stamped using Fresh Fig ink and a small strip of coordinating card stock was attached behind.

The cake image on the inside is from the new Birthday Delivery stamp set (also available 1/6/2017) and was used in both the birthday cards - stamped in Fresh Fig and left uncoloured.

These four cards are part of a gift I am sending to my Mother in Law in New Zealand, so they can not be too heavily embellished as I intend on sending a total of 20 - lets hope I can get them into the tin I have decorated especially for this purpose.

Hope you have a crafty day xx

Fresh Florals DSP - Tranquil Tide

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today's set of cards feature more of the new Fresh Florals DSP. These cards are all made using the new 2017-2019 In Colour called Tranquil Tide. Its a deep, rich colour, which I think will be great for Masculine themed cards. All these cards are simple and easy to replicate in little amount of time.

I really wanted to highlight the new Tranquil Tide colour, so predominately used Whisper White and Black card stock with the Fresh Florals DSP.

First up is a card using the die from the Up & Away Thinlits.  The sentiment is from the soon to be released Birthday Delivery stamp set - available June 1st. I love the two different fonts in one greeting. I also adore bling on the Hot Air Balloon! Any excuse to use bling is a good one!

The next card has a Sahara Sand base, a layer of DSP and the sentiment from the Bookcase Builder Stamp Set was inked up in Sahara Sand before the panel was run through the Big Shot using the Hexagons Embossing folder. Little flower die cut in Tranquil Tide card stock had a bow of Bakers Twine added and then a pearl embellishment.

For the next card, layers of DSP and Tranquil Tide card stock were given a Whisper White matt. The Succulent was made using the Oh So Succulent Dies cut from Mint Macaroon card stock and sponged on the tips with Sweet SugarPlum. I tucked in the sentiment from Blooms & Wishes stamp set under the Succulent and attached with a dimensional.

Hope I have inspired you to get into your craft room and use some of your lovely DSP's. Enjoy your day x

Fresh Florals DSP - Berry Burst

Hello crafters,

Today I'm sharing a set of cards using the new Fresh Florals DSP in Berry Burst. This DSP Pack contains 40 sheets of 12"x12" double sided papers. All 5 new In colours are included and the patterns are stunning.

Each card only uses 1.5" of DSP and 1" of the coordinating card stock and Whisper White.

I love the Hot Air Balloon! This die cut along with the flowers and hearts from Sunshine Wishes were sponged using Berry Burst ink to achieve an ombre effect.

I used the dancing lady image from the Beautiful You stamp set and paper pieced her dress using some the of Fresh Floral's Dsp.

All the sentiments for these cards are also from the Beautiful You stamp set. Hope you liked my creations x

Fresh Florals DSP

Good Day Crafty Friends, thanks for popping by,

The new Stampin'Up Annual Catalogue and its beautiful array of DSP will be available 1st June 2017.  There are so many stunning DSP packs with coordinating ribbons, embellishments and lots of new and exciting additions to Stampin'Up's range, I want it all!!!

A BBB (Big Brown Box) arrived yesterday and in it were my items that I was able to pre-order. It contained the new in colour 2017-2018 ink pads, card stock and the coordinating Fresh Florals DSP.

I have used a piece of new Fresh Floral's DSP in Powder Pink. The Flower image and sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set and the little flower stamped in Versamark on the Powder Pink card stock is from the Jar of Love bundle.

The next card uses the flip side of this DSP

Again using the Birthday Blooms flower image but this time heat embossed in gold. I used Powder Pink, Emerald Envy and Old Olive with an Aqua Painter to colour the flower. The sentiment Tickled Pink for you is from the new Fabulous Flamingo stamp set - also available 1 June 2017.

I will be sharing cards made with this DSP in all the new In Colours, so four more colours to go!

Thanks for visiting, hope you have a crafty day xx

New Stampin' Up! In Colours 2017-2019

Sadly it's nearly time for our beloved 2015-2017 in colours to retire. I am going to miss my favourite Mint Macaron immensely! I did load up on card stock and one of my fellow Demonstrators is selling me an extra reinker she does not need so I shall have enough to ween myself slowly.

However......my mourning of Mint Macaron is made a little more less painful having seen the new 2017-2019 In Colours!!!

Colour chart provided by Kelly Kent - My Papercraft Journey

OMG!!! The Lemon Lime Twist!!!! Put your hands up in the Air!!! Fist Pumps and giddy side kicks. And swooning over the delicious Berry Burst! Of course I love the Powder Pink, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig too especially seeing them paired with SU's existing colour families. Insert wolf whistle here! Some of the colours are available for a limited time with the specially released suite - Eastern Palace. The entire new range will be available for customers 1 June! We SU demonstrators have early access to new products such as colour ranges, and those who attend OnStage get even earlier access.

At On Stage in Perth our tables were decorated with all sorts of accessories highlighting products from the new catalogue. At the end of the event I got to take the star decoration that had the new Lemon Lime Twist on its outer edge. I made a little momento with it.

I framed it, along with my badge to show I was a full on first time noob! The badge also has the new Lemon Lime Twist on it and a few of the other colours in the Onstage Logo.

The banner is also from a stamp set I won at On Stage called Birthday Deliveries.  I stamped it in Black Archival and will add a touch of Lemon Lime Twist ink to it when my order arrives next week.

I used the Hexagons TEIF on black card stock for the background and added the Hot Air Balloon from the Lift Me Up bundle which was cut from black card stock and backed with silver glimmer card stock. I added the butterfly die cut in the same card stock using the Sunshine Wishes Framelits and a little banner of it tucked behind the badge to tie it all together.

Hope you like my little craft room momento.  Till next time, Happy Crafting x

Framing Jar of Love Flowers

Good Day crafty friends and welcome to my blog.

I wanted to share a CAS (clean and simple) card with you today. I do tend to like a lot of bright white space on my cards fronts when using flowers. Plus I had an offcut of silver foil card stock that needed something done to it!

I started this card by making the frame using the layering squares Framelits. I needed to judge how big I wanted it to be on the card front so I just used the Dies for placement before deciding on which Dies to actually use.

Next I stamped the flowers and fauna using Pink Pirouette & Sweet Sugarplum Inks for the flowers and Smoky Slate for the leaves onto Whisper White card stock.

I used foam strips to mount the frame to a Wood Grain embossed piece of white card stock which was added to a layer of Sweet Sugarplum card stock. The foam strips are almost twice the height of the dimensionals so they really raise the frame off the card.

I stamped the For You sentiment, also from the Jar of Love Bundle in Sweet Sugarplum before cutting a thin strip from the bottom of the card and adding a strip of Sweet Sugarplum from behind.

I had the silver foil die cut leaf from the Botanicals Builder lying on my desk so tucked that in behind the stamped images and just for fun (or it was the bin) I added the little silver foil circle - a left over from the inside of a nut die cut lol

I have made quite a few cards using the ever so versatile Jar of Love Bundle. And look forward to making many more and sharing them with you.

Till next time, Happy Crafting xx

Pocketful of Sunshine Stamp Set - Prize Patrol

Hello

Today I am sharing a card I made with a new stamp set that I won at the SU Onstage in Perth. The stamp set is called Pocketful of Sunshine and it also has matching Framelits! I don't have the Framelits yet so cut the pocket freehand.

I was so excited to win this set when my prize patrol colour came up! Think I may have danced and jumped a little wee bit too much but just couldn't help myself!

pocketful of sunshine, stampin up

I have used the cute little pocket stamp. The set comes with a few accessories to pop in the pocket.

I stamped the pocket and the curved stitching detail in Smoky Slate onto Pink Pirouette card stock. I also cut two little strips of the Pink Pirouette for the belt loops and used Whisper White ribbon with jewels for the belt.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Lift Me Up stamp set and has been stamped in Archival Black ink onto Whisper White card stock before mounting onto a small strip of silver foil card stock.
I cut the silver foil die cut flower that is poking out the pocket using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. And also cut the little butterfly in black card stock from the same Die set.

Pink Pirouette and Whisper White card stock were used for the base and card front but then I decided to add a layer of DSP (think it's from the retired Carried Away SAB Paper Stack) and a Doily before adhering the pocket with dimensionals.

I look forward to getting the Framelits for this stamp set as I'm picking it will be a popular set for making teen cards especially as it makes giving gift cards or cash an easy solution - stick it in the pocket!

Birthday Delivery Stamp Set - Onstage Perth

Good Day Crafty Friends

Today I would like to share a very quick and easy card I made because I needed to crack open a stamp set I won at SU Perth On Stage.

The stamp set is called Birthday Delivery and is part of an amazing bundle which includes Framelits that cut the stamped images but also images on the gorgeous DSP.

My amazingly talented upline Sarah Klass presented the Birthday Deliveries suite on the day and her creations were stunning! She used the Framelits and DSP to cut toppers for Cupcakes, showed a jaw dropping banner for Birthday Party decorations, and loads of ideas for cards and other party décor.

I have used Whisper White, Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand Cardstock with the Hexagons TIEF and a Doily. I quickly stitched the outside of the Sahara Sand layer with the trusty sewing machine. The girl image was stamped in Archival Black on Shimmery White card stock and water coloured using an aqua painter and Pink Pirouette ink. I fussy cut the image and adhered her to the oval splattered piece with foam strips with the sentiment from Birthday Blooms.

I have a few ideas for cards using the other images in the stamp set and can't wait to get the matching Framelits and coordinating DSP. Till next time xx

Birthday Delivery Stamp Set - Chef Card

Hello Crafty Friends

I'm excited to share another very simple and easy to make card using the new Birthday Delivery stamp set. This amazingly versatile suite will be available through Stampin'Up and my shop in June but I was lucky enough to win this set at On Stage so get to play with it early.

stampin up birthday delivery stamp set, chef card, bakers card

As you can see the French Chef is one of the fabulous images in this set as is the Happy Birthday sentiment he is squirting out of his icing tube. On a piece of black card stock I heat embossed the Happy Birthday in white embossing powder and adhered to a Whisper White card base.

The black and white kitchen floor tiles are just white squares of Whisper White adhered to the Black card stock with Tombow. The chef was stamped on Whisper White and coloured using Real Red and Sahara Sand Markers. A quick wrap around and bow with Bakers Twine and card is done!

I love the cheeky look of this chef and know a few chefs who I will be using this image to make cards for in the future.

Wishing you a crafty day, till next time

More Swaps Birthday Blooms

Hello Hello

Welcome to my blog crafty friends.

I made and took a few different designs to swap at the SU April 2017 Perth Convention. I adore the Birthday Blooms stamp set and couldn't resist making a few different cards using the same stamp. To not complicate things too much for my first Onstage swapping experience I also decided to make quite a few of the cards using the Mediterranean Moments stamp set and neutral coloured cardstock.

Plus I also made 10 of these Poppin Box Cards.

Here is a close up of three of the cards I haven't shown on my blog previously and were only designed a few weeks prior to Onstage (the Med Moments cards I designed a few months ago and details for those cards can be found in an earlier post)

This card has a Whisper White Card base and then a layer of black and a layer of pink pirouette card stock. I have used the Happy Hearts TIEF and the Hello sentiment from Pop of Paradise. I have stamped the Birthday Blooms image using Archival Black Ink onto Shimmery White card and then water coloured using an Aqua Painter with Pink Pirouette, Old Olive and Cucumber Crush inks. I added a leaf die cut in Pink Pirouette using the Botanical Builders Framelits.

I did a few in Island Indigo and Wisteria Wonder because well not everyone loves pink like I do. The Layering Squares Framelits were used to cut the frame in Wisteria Wonder and the hole in the Whisper White card front. I adhered this with foam strips to a layer of Island Indigo that was attached to a Whisper White card base. The Birthday Blooms flower image was stamped in Archival Black ink and water coloured using an Aqua Painter with Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder and Old Olive inks. The sentiment Best Wishes is from the Bloom & Wishes stamp set and the background splashes in Island Indigo ink are made using the Timeless Textures stamps.

And then I just couldn't stop using this stamp set so made these So Saffron ones with some added stitching from the trusty sewing machine

I have used So Saffron, Whisper White and Sahara Sand card stock. The Sahara Sand layer was sewed using white cotton and then embossed using the Hexagons TIEF. I then sewed the doily before adding the Birthday Blooms image which was water coloured and fussy cut. I coloured using So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake inks. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and was heat embossed in white powder on black card stock and tucked under the flower image.

And these are the swaps I brought home!

Omg!!!!! Cards, Card Fronts, Bookmarks, Gift Tags, Magnets, Keychains, Bags of Lollies, Chocolates, Tea Bags, Coffee, Mints, Badge, Affirmation Bottle, Scissor Charms, Tea Light Candles, Easter Eggs & Chapstick!!!! The diversity was astonishing and the talent displayed in all the creations I revived was absolutely amazing!

Convention Swaps

Hello Crafty Friends,

As mentioned in an earlier post, I made over 100 swaps for the Perth Onstage event. I did not make just one design lol. I made 7 because I knew everyone has different taste when it comes to colours etc. Here is one of the seven designs. I made 10 full cards as part of my swaps. This is the Poppin Box Card -box and wrap tutorial by Gemma Clarke.

And here is a picture of all angles of the box, wrap and belly band.

As you can see I used a few different bundles to decorate the box.  I took the colour inspiration from the DSP I was using so that it was easier to coordinate. I used the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP, Whisper White, Black, So Saffron and Bermuda Bay Cardstock with a few teeny bits of Vellum. I used Archival Black ink for most of the stamped images, with the addition of So Saffron and Bermuda Bay inks for colouring the hot air balloon, sponging the inside card, flowers in the jar etc.

I made five in each colour card base - So Saffron & Bermuda Bay and decorated with a piece of DSP that covered the front third of the card.

To decorate the belly band, I cut strips of Cardstock and attached to the middle before using the Layering Circles Framelits to make 3 circles in white, So Saffron and Bermuda Bay before using a 4th circle to cut DSP from the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP Stack.

The For You sentiment is from the Jar of Love Bundle and was heat embossed in white powder on Bermuda Bay card stock.

I made the little tassels as I felt the fronts were a tad too plain. Using scraps of So Saffron and Bermuda Bay I ruled a small line down from the top edge of my strip of Cardstock and using scissors cut lines upto the pencil mark.

Then just add a loop of Bakers Twine at the beginning of the strip of Cardstock and start rolling. I used Tombow to secure the Bakers Twine and to close up the rolled tassel. Let dry then attach a small thin strip of silver foil Cardstock around the top.

I stamped the inside with two sentiments and the carousel image from the Carousel Birthday Stamp Set using archival black ink and then using sponges I lightly sponged So Saffron and Bermuda Bay ink.

Four sides of the box were decorated using the Layering Squares Framelits to cut perfect squares from the DSP. The Layering Circles Framelits were used to cut two of each colour in So Saffron & Bermuda Bay to place over the DSP before decorating further.

Each side has a different image/bundle used to decorate over the DSP and Layering Circle. This side uses the Beautiful You stamp set and the T Shirt Builder Bundle. The lady image was paper pieced using DSP from the same Paper Stack. Her hat was coloured using So Saffron Marker. Sentiment is from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set.  I also used the triple banner punch to make the little banner behind the Tee.

The Love Notes bundle was used for this side with the envelope cut in Vellum. The heart die was cut in black card stock and the note card was stamped in Bermuda Bay for the hearts and Archival Black for the Happy Birthday. The little sentiment is from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set.

Up & Away Bundle for this side. Images were stamped in Archival Black on Shimmery White cardstock and coloured in using an Aqua Painter with So Saffron and Bermuda Bay inks. I had to add a little white die cut cloud too just because lol

And the Jar of Love bundle on this side. I did die cut a piece of vellum and put it over the stamped jar image so it looked more like glassware. The sentiment is from the Blooms & Wishes stamp set, which was heat embossed in white powder onto black card stock.

If you received one at Onstage hope you liked it - I could only give away 9 of them as I forgot I had to pop one on the SU Swaps Display Board.

Klassy Chicks from A Klass Act @ OnStage Perth

Omg!! I have just returned from an all day Stampin'Up event which was held at the Hilton in Perth!

My upline has a rather large team of SU addicts and seeing On Stage local was in Perth this April it was great so many of us could attend together. We had 28 Klassy Chicks bombard the SU Convention and here is a photo of 18 of us without our trooper of a leader Sarah Klass, as she was busy prepping for her presentation.

We even have a little one - Natalie's son attended our Christmas function not soon after entering this world so was great to see how much he had grown. So this was his 2nd Klassy Chicks get together but like me our first SU Convention lol

As mentioned my upline Sarah Klass gave an amazing presentation with one of the new bundles OMG!! But in addition to her wonderful presence on the stage at Onstage, two members of A Klass Act - Jenny Crotty and SJ (Sarah Jane Kale) also gave presentations. And an absolute cherry on the icing on the cupcake was a presentation given by a demonstrator whose talents I admire immensely - Kelly Kent!!!!

For those who have never attended a SU convention you must do this at least once! I could happily do it all over again next weekend! Check In starts at 7:30am which was a bit of a blah for me the not so morning loving person. Plus living an hour away from the city meant I left home at 6am but it was definitely worth it. At check in you receive a Stampin'Up bag only available to attendees. Inside are loads of freebies and a stamp set from the new catalogue. I didn't even have time to check any of the contents out as I quickly put on my lanyard and started SWAPPING!!!

What an absolutely cool concept swapping is! I loved it and wish I took more, my 100 swaps went pretty fast. There are display boards with every single new product in the catalogue so you can touch and photograph and just experience the actual products before you purchase.

We made three cards during the event using new products and had THE MOST AMAZING LUNCH! Thanks SU organisers, I was so full and content and ready to stamp some more after such a wonderful spread of yumminess.

When you register at check in you are assigned one of the new in colours in the form of a badge that you attach to your lanyard. During the day your colour is announced in what's called a Prize Patrol. When your colour pops up on the screens on the stage you stand up until a lovely volunteer hands you a wonderful item from the new catalogue. I got four new stamp sets and two ink pads among many other goodies - it was like Christmas!

I will share my swaps made and those received with you shortly. Till then, Happy Crafting x

Up and Away

Hello Crafty Friends,

Just a quick post today as I really wanted to share this funny card while I work away on my swaps. When I saw the card posted by SU demonstrator Terri Hawke on a SU Facebook page I knew I had to make one. Terri's card can be found on her blog stampersblock.wordpress.com. Below is my take on her creativity.

Using the Up and Away Framelits I cut two hot air balloons in Melon Mambo and backed them with whisper white card stock. I then chopped off the balloon basket and flipped the balloon upside down and using white ribbon made the bra straps and middle decorative bow.

I attached two pearls at the top of each strap for additional decoration before attaching the Sahara Sand card front to a layer of Melon Mambo. I decided it needed more white so added this to a whisper white card base. I stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo on whisper white and adhered to a layer of Melon Mambo to match the card front.

Hope you make time to get into your crafty space and try something out of the ordinary with some of your current craft supplies.

Happy Crafting x
